Fat and Happy

Hi everyone,

I have been here a bit and love all the board. I honestly don't think there is a better source of information on the net. I am just posting this up so i can have a pic of myself in the avatar.

I am 34yo, 5'6.5" 225ish lbs, bodyfat: Too High. I started lifting back in nhigh school and have done it on and off for years. I got serious about 5 years ago and was prepping for a local show and ripped my right pec. I dropped out of the show, i thought i might lose a few points for the swelling and the black and blue bruising=-) Anyway, i took about 2 years completely off of the gym and pursued some other activities in my life until i realized that i had gotten much smaller and much fatter. So last april i kicked it back in gear and got back in the gym. I have been back for about a year and a half now and am just enjoying life.

I will post up better pics, including legs and back as soon as i get someone to take them.

congrats on getting back at it. My story is almost identical to your minus the pec tear. Any thoughts of competing in the future?

thanks man, it has been a pretty smooth trip back and i have been doing things a lot different and healthier this time around. As far as competing, most likely not, i believe the pec tear throws things off a lot. The strength and all came back but the aesthetics never did fully.
