I watched this doucmentary today...and i thought it was sooooo inspirational!!!! made me cry like a baby...anyone else see it???....and what are your thoughts on the whole idea?

I feel the diet they follow in that documentaries is very low in healthy fats and protein, besides that its interesting.

I remember when i was younger, a small child in the mid/late 70's and early 80's and if we saw a fat kid it was like WOW everyone look at that fat kid.

I swear you just wouldn't see a fat kid for years so it was truly amazing to see one and sadly they got a hard time..

Now its seems most kids are fat, its like spot the skinny kid....

Its mostly ignorance or laziness.....Throw a Happy Meal at a kid and sit them in front of the PS3 or Xbox all day and you have a free babysitter so the parents can drink and smoke all day and complain about not having anything because welfare doesn't pay enough.

These are chemical companies doing what sells their chemicals. I am a consultant for Dow Agra Science, and I despise each trip I make to the Campus.

Very true. It's the FDA's "job" to keep up sick so big pharm companies make more...same reason they want to limit all the supplements we have access to. If we can take cheap fish oil and have a better heart then there is less chance we need heart meds OR a prescription version of omega 3s which they can make billion$ on...so the FDA wants to ban TONS of supplements! Insane. If it works or if it's healthy and keeps you of prescription drugs then you cannot buy it. That's where they are trying to get it!!

And that documentary was pretty good! I like when he tells people they "need to be juicing" - seriously though it does expose a LOT of things that everyone needs to know about food and FDA. FOOD, Inc is also good. And "FatHead" is interesting but gets kinda annoying. Check those out...

Another good movie if you liked this one would be food inc. they go into how all animals are fed corn now, most grains you eat are genetically altered, and how shit the average american diet is.

Exactly. All this talk about how "big corporations" or "evil government" or "the Jews" or (insert your favorite villain here) is the cause of all of our health problems is a complete joke. YOU are the person who makes this possible when YOU buy a happy meal or a Big Mac. If you don't want processed foods then fine, don't buy them. But don't restrict the rights of others to do so.
