Fats...How low is too low?

I know healthy fats play an important role in many functions..... I also realize when cutting or getting leaner fat is cut down..... but how low is too low??? for example, if a 200lb lifter has 25g of fat daily and the objective is to get very lean how long can one manage to maintain that low of a number before seeing negative effects???... can fat being too low actually be counter productive?.
 
I feel like shit on low fats. Lately and even while leaning out the lowest they have gone was 75 grams from

5 free range eggs
12 oz grass fed beef
peanut butter, coc oil or almond butter
 
I personally dont go below 30% whether I am bulking or cutting.
 
i dont think anyone should go below 50gr

not enough fat for extended periods of time can kill your test levels
 
Check the knuckles. If they're dry and cracked you're fats are too low.
 
How much fat you eat has nothing to do with getting lean.
 
i try to stay above 1/2 gram of fat per pound of body weight as an absolute minimum

Lol I don't think that is of any concern to 99% of this board. My joints feel fucking awesome these days and I havnt been under 100g in ages. Olive oil almonds and walnuts my preferred sources. Fish oil and evening primrose oil also.

The right kinds of fats will help you get lean! I'm 3 weeks out from competition right now and getting roughly 150g fats a day

Of course it can have negative effects. If you're having issues, drop your carbs and quit with the ridiculous cheat meals. Have sensible cheats, raise your fats and manipulate carbs. I would NEVER go below about 80g of fat or so and more preferably take in 125g daily.
