What are some your favorite pieces you use or have used?
I used this one for the first time yesterday and it felt perfect. It also felt heavy so my weights were very low. Only 1plate per side. But the way it hit the back felt like nothing else I’ve used

Hard to go wrong with very much that Nebula made in my experience.
Agreed. I had never used nebula equipment before yesterday but my gym has a ton of pieces. I used a nebula pull down as well and it was awesome.
I’ve got chest and bis today and there’s a nebula flat press I’m going to try out

pretty rare for a gym to have a bunch of it. They haven't been in business for some time now (rogue bought them)

That Nebula chest supported row is a monster, but such an awesome machine!

Quads Gym in Chicago has a decent selection of Nebula equipment, it's all really solid.

I have the exact same machine at my gym and love it. I just never knew what brand it was as it has been debadged. Well I don't actually love it, because it's hard af. But because it's so difficult, I make myself love it lol. Max out on 1 plate and a 25 per side. Meanwhile I can barbell row 365 with good form.

Power Squat Pro "Pendulum" squat by Rogers Athletic

this thing is smooth as butter ..easy on the knees ..& definitely "hit's the spot" every time
(..makes you "sit-down" which is great!!)
+ you can over-load the sh*t out this thing

Love that one. There’s a green and black one at my gym.

The gym has a ton of old and unique equipment. I’d be willing to wager it’s one of the best gyms any where.
It’s Madhouse in Mableton, GA. Just moved from Lithia Springs and Austell. If you’re ever near Atlanta come check it out. I’ll try and get some pics of something’s Monday. It’s a place that is truly built with love and passion.

Flex/Statrac Hack Squat, Flex Leverage Lat Pulldown, Flex Leverage Vertical Chest Press, Nautilus Lat Pullover, Nebula Leg Press. Used to own a Paramount Pendulum Squat. Great piece! Would be a dream to get into Madhouse or Destination Dallas. Strive/Prime makes some great looking pieces as does Panatta Sport, although i've only had the pleasure of using a few Strive pieces from the back in the day. IMO, the golden years of fitness pieces in terms of resistance equipment had to be the 80's and 90's, although the 70's saw incredible leaps and bounds with the advent of Nautilus and Arthur Jones. The man was a real trailblazer in the industry (maybe the biggest to date). Before Nautilus, there was mostly barbells, dumbbells, benches, and pulleys. His pieces, even today, blow many current pieces out of the water in terms of design.

Love the pendulum squat.
I agree wholeheartedly about the older pieces they just seem to hit the muscle so much better. There’s a few of the older machines with chains instead of cables that look like torture devices but the movement pattern and load is almost perfect.

Nautilus chain drive machines...legendary stuff and those pieces will last forever even with very limited maintenance.

Nautilus (blue) pullover, red the bar is too thick and my lats are too wide to fit in the machine :(

Nebula 45 degree leg press

Nautilus plate loaded biceps curl

Hammer Iso Row - wish there were more hand positions, but I've used so many. The latest is a wider underhand grip to hit rear delts

Nautilus plate loaded pull down

This thing... Never used it before but my new gym has one and I love the thing. I've gotten lots of others interested in different movements I do on it. So far, I've turned it into a VERY effective barbell row, single armed row, shrug, stiff leg dead, pendulum squat and a couple others I wanna try. A pin also allows you to switch between uni and bilateral.

Anything from atlantis and prime fitness. The rest is pretty much shit especially most hammer strength

This Nautilus leg press is pretty awesome.

Squat rack...
Unfortunately because of my back and shoulders I can’t really do anything in the squat rack. When I healthier and younger it was mine too.
The only free weights I can really use are dumbbells.

This Nautilus leg press is pretty awesome.

Memories . . .

I first used this monster machine at a Nautilus Gym in SF back in the late 70's.
Nautilus machines were hard to find back them and I drove all over the bay
area looking for them. And I found this gym that had one of anther pieces
but this one I have never seen or tried (I may have seen one in production
in Lake Helen, FL.) so I was raring to go. I did one set to total failure, could
not budge the ankle pad then I had my training partner drop down the leg
press platform ASAP and I did one set of leg presses to total failure. My
legs were so wasted than that when I stepped off the machine I hit the
floor like somebody pistol whipped me. I did not do another cycle.

Another machine I really liked was the Nautilus Super Geared Hip and Back
machine. Unlike the Nautilus Leg Press Machine which eventually became
very popular, Geared Hip and Back was a great machine, built like a tank,
that did not have a long life and was very rare where I came from. Never
have felt a pump in my hips and lower back since.

I was a bit difficult getting into because you had to scooch yourself under the
padded movement bar and between the padded shoulder pads and them
strap yourself in with a padded hip belt. Then . . . your were ready to 'ratchet'
yourself under the movement bar with your legs up around on a sliding back
support and then extend, uncurl your legs until they were straight and parallel
to floor. It was murder. I have no recollection of how I got out of it or even
having seen another one of those machines. If anybody here has used one of
these machines I would love to hear about it.

The original Nautilus plate loading triceps machine was a great machine too
that could be made better by simply using a 2 x 4 between your hands when
in a neutral position, something that you could grab on to.. Arthur told me
about using one and had considered supplying one with the machine but
thought that people, a) would not use it or b) people would disregard it as
a left over piece of packing materials . . . or both.
