Favorite gyms you've trained at, and what's on your bucket list?

Strong & Shapely in East Rutherford, NJ. Best gym I was ever a member of (this was back when Bob owned and ran it). Been to Gold's (The Mecca) more recently. Well-equipped but nothing mind-blowing (Strong & Shapely was better). I'd wager that The Mecca in the 80's and 90's was probably levels better then than it is now in terms of equipment.

Atlantis's gym in Laval was awesome. Really loved that place. It's a regular gym with all of their equipment but also functions as a showroom. Just about every piece of Atlantis equipment is there and ready to use as you'd imagine. Redcon...very very well equipped gym which I appreciated; lots of of newer stuff with a mix of old.

Bucket list: Oxygen, Binous, Panatta headquarters, Madhouse, and maybe that LVAC that has that incredibly rare Swing Squat that I've never seen anywhere else

Also want to go to FIBO specifically to see all the European stuff

My fav gym was in the vancouver region in the 90s. Gators!

Favorite gyms are the Warrior Gym at Nellis Air Force Base, its a fucking compound (but you have to get a pass from an Airman, be an airman spouse or be a contractor, not open to public) and the LVAC (Las Vegas Athletic Club) located on Flamingo Road (even more of a compound with an absurd amount of machines. Great gym)

Nothing really on my bucket list in terms of gyms.
I was stationed at Nellis when they opened that gym. The facility was shockingly nice for a military gym, but back then the equipment wasn't anything special. The rumor is that the city of North Las Vegas paid for that gym because there were rumors that most of the ops at Nellis were moving to Creech and North Las Vegas wanted to keep all those personnel there (no idea if that's true).

The LVAC on Flamingo and Rainbow is cool, I used to see Jay Cutler there all the time when he was in his prime; but I like the single story one on Sahara near all the car dealerships. It's old and grimey as fuck, but they have a ton of bad-ass old school machines. Some of them are probably from the 80s.

Just trained at Butler Pro Gym in South Salt Lake, Utah. Wow, what a gym, great place to train, check it out if you are ever in the area.

Favourite Gym I trained at: Rühl's Fit & Fun in Darmstadt, Germany. Trained with Markus himself a few times while I was there in the early 2010s. Moved away before he closed it down (Don't know exactly when, think it was during the whole Pandemic Shenanigans, and he was more into his supplement business at that point anyway). Working in and lifting with Markus was just fucking awesome.

Bucket List:

(1) Das Gym in Vienna, Austria.
(2) Muscle Factory, Either in Bangkok or Pattaya.
(3) James Hollingshead's Gym in the UK!

I really want to check out Derek Lunsford's new gym Champs Elysium down in the Tampa area! I'll be down there next month for work orientation. I'll post some pics if it's open and I end up going!
the old powerhouse down there is pretty epic too if you have time to check out a few spots and or care to

Madhouse gym In Ga is awesome . It has everything you need and could ask for . Great owners as well.

Apparently we have another gym in the slc area called The Refinery that is a similar bodybuilder environment to butler pro gym. Both are a little far south for me, but I'll try to make it to them on my days off.

I was only in town for a day, I'll be back though and I'll check it out if I can swing it. I love checking out different gyms especially when they have some unique or one off type of equipment.

People ask me what my hobbies are and I'm like ummm yeahhh it is trying out new / different gyms lol.

Marks fitness club in Charleston IL. Private owned gym and a real mans gym!Mark and I trained together for 8 years or so

Pure fitness, heard its hardcore

As for bucket list:

I want to go to vegas and train at Dragons Lair and The one place Cutler posts videos from. And if I'm there I might as well go the Armbrust too. I'm planning that trip for next year.

I'd like to go to Columbus and train at Elite FTS, Montinari Bros Power House and Metro Flex.

If i get to Vancouver I'd like to train at West Coast Iron.
Dragons Lair for sure bro been wanting to train there!

I’m just a little bit biased, but I think that my home gym is one of the best that I’ve ever encountered.
Crush It Coliseum it’s absolutely incredible! There are two locations, one in Statesville, North Carolina and the other Mooresville, North Carolina.
Doug Miller has done an incredible job putting together a couple of the most extensive collections of equipment that I’ve ever seen. If you were ever in the Charlotte area, you absolutely have to check out one of the locations!
