Favorite songs while training

louder please....

Eclectic music for an eclectic world:

AC/DC
Rob Zombie
Nine Inch Nails
Tool
White Zombie
Darude (Instrumental Hard Techno club mixes)
Primus
Hinder
Linkin Park
Eminem
Tupac

All on max volume--- in my gym there's nobody else to whine or get a vote!

I like many genres but If I could choose the best music is trip hop: Massive Attack and the Bristol sound in general helps a lot with the concentration, not too much adrenaline and a steady rithm, there's nothing better for a grinder:D

Darude (Instrumental Hard Techno club mixes)

"Sandstorm" though overplayed in dance clubs for many years is a dance classic though for sure....I heard that song on XM radio's BPM the other night....Everytime I hear it it brings back some great clubbin memories...

Yeah ..i was wondering ... doesn't anyone listen to dn'b?! :)

This list brings back days from my clubbing days .. :(
Seems so long ago when i saw richie hawtin, tiesto and sasha live ...
hehehe!

ah, those were the fuuuuun nights that began at midnight, and ran until 10am the next day :) ..and you'd do that 4 nights in a row!

Richie Hawtin = Plastic Man.....geeez thats bringing back some memories.

My MP3 player has a very weird range of music in it right now.....Ive got some Chemical Brothers, MURS, Les Savy Fav, and a bunch of other weird stuff. I change mine about once a month.

I remember when I first moved to Orlando I couldn't get over the club life and how main stream it was there.. Breakbeat, trance, house, Drum n bass was all mainstream music and they had their own radio stations for it.. then I moved back up north and people have never heard of the stuff before.

I tell them what I listen to and they are like "oh techno" and I try to explain that it's not techno, as techno is it's own genre within electronic music.. oh well..I wish they had this kind of music on the stations here..

I'm kind of in the same situation. I haven't really found a station where I am that I like, so I do a lot of surfing. When I had Satellite, I loved it because I could listen to different channel and hear a lot of new music.

Aqua... this is a great thread!!! :)

whatever I can get someone to put on my Ipod

I don't have an IPOD or MP3PO or whatever you guys are talking about. At home I listen to German electronic music (mostly ambient) and sometimes some old-school reggae. When I'm driving I listen to German electronic pop, David Bowie, some underground punk bands, and some Motown. At the gym I don't really pay attention to what they play overhead.

the 300 soundtrack is worth buying (or downloading :p) several tracks in there have been on my ipod when I set PBs

NiN
Metallica
Alice in chains - man in the box
Eminem - Loose yourself
AC/DC
Korn
Pantera
im waiting on my buddy to zip me some devildriver

WELL.. since i train in my own gym, i listen to what i want.. which makes most people ill.. i dont like heavy metal.. never have and most of the guys who come over to train love that crap..lol..
i am a product of the 80's and have weird tastes in music for lifting.. i listen to THE CURE, LEVEL 42, COLLECTIVE SOUL , AND THE OCCASIONAL DEF LEPPARD.. i dont use it to hype me up or naything since most of the time it is just background noise..:D

I enjoy a lovely mixture of both Yanni and Kenny G's greatest hits.

I understand with cardio, but how people can lift weights with shit attached to their arm, blaring in the ears, is beyond me....

I'd say im a bit different from most of these posts, and I mainly listen to rap through my workouts. A lot of 2pac, jay-z, dr. dre, etc. Kinda liek you hear in the background of all ronnies vids. I do like some rock though at times. I like a nice disturbed song or something like that before a set of squats.
