no offense to anyone who is a sylvia fan, but at least in my opinion, and i know in the opinion of many others, fedor is probably the best fighter in the world and one of the best all around fighters ever. Im not trying to hate on sylvia, but i really dont think he stands any kind of chance. Ive watched many fedor fights, and his striking is great, but his ground game is the best ive ever seen and is unparalleled especially in the heavyweight division. Im excited for this though! ive always wanted to see fedor fight ufc guys and prove his worth, even though i think the pride heavyweight division has always been stronger than ufc's, even though that is changing quickly.

Huge size difference, but I think Fedor beats him easily. He's never had any trouble with bigger guys.

randy will whip fedor's ass.. i have doubts about that.. as for silvia.. he was the msot overrated fighter around.. if it was not the fact that he was almost 7 foot tall, he would never have won anything..

I don't think there is a Fighter in the world who can beat Fedor. He could probably fight at 205 as well.

Tim S sucks a fat cock. all apologees ahed of time to anyone i piss off but the guy sucks seriously. he shoulda never been champ and was a SHITTY champ. if he wasnt so tall and had reach he wouldnt of been able to stick his arms out to keep the guy from gettin to him he would get his ass beat. i dotn re call any fight where he has totally stood up and made a memoriable performance. i think he is shit and a joke. i would LOVE to see this fight bc his little game of using his reach wotn work on soemone like fedor. the guy is ranked #1 in the world. he will DEMOLISH tim to the max! way stronger way faster way smarter way more skilled on the ground and stand up way more explosive way more condition etc etc etc. timy is gna get murdered in the ring with him!!

This is one I won't miss...I think we all agree Fedor will win for sure, but how quickly, how close and by what method will always be interesting any fight Fedor is a part of.

I personally don't believe that Fedor is the best fighter in the world, but I think he will defeat Sylvia. Great matchup. I hope to see more matchups like this later on in the future.

Just curious, who do you think is the best active fighter overall? In the fights I've seen with Fedor, there are some who have given him problems for a variety of reasons. However, it has always been simply a matter of time for Fedor to resolve any issue an opposing fighter presents. As always, an amazing fighter...even if he does look like my attorney and accountant! Actually, I think my accountant has a better build! I love watching this guy fight and train and he's one of my favorites.

Pride guys have not done well.
think sylvia is shit but he has size and reach and will paste him. wont be pretty, never is but he will do it.
would love to see some better divisions but he will win and will kill interest in the division

Oh boy. I'm a huge Emelianenko fan but something in my gut is saying that Tim is gonna win this. Fedor has been keeping active obviously but hasn't fought any high level competition in a while. To be honest, I thought Lindland was going to beat him when they fought in Russia. If Fedor hadn't grabbed the ropes illegally he would've ended up on his back with an Olympic wrestler on top of him.

Everyone talks shit about Sylvia and granted, his fights can be pretty boring, but I think he stands a much better chance than most folks think. Who has Fedor ever fought that is comparable to Sylvia? None of the big guys have had anything close to the talent or experience that Sylvia has. Monson proved that Sylvia has enough of a ground game to survive a top level grappler and ask the Pitbull what he thinks of Tim's striking.

Fedor's best chance is the big overhand right that won Randy the belt, but I'd hope that Tim has figured out how to stop that by now. No matter who wins, this Affliction event is a win for MMA in general. It feels great to see an upstart company put on one of the best cards of the year and still have time to spit in Dana's eye. If the production and camera work aren't total crap, this could be the start of something great.
