Nobody is saying legalizing or decriminalization is a cure all.

Absolutely not. But doing the same thing over and over, butting your head against the wall until it's bloody and chipping and expecting a different result, is actually a definition of insanity.

And that is what the drug war is. Year after year, decade after decade. Or worse, even, because beyond no results, things are actually getting worse.

Yeah. At its worst it's not like coming off Heroin or cigarettes.
For me it depends on frequency, potency of what I've been using etc.
Occasional use doesn't bother me. When I go on a binder and go crazy with just a little planning it's easy to avoid issues. Keeping a little to take the edge off, changing strains often.
The reason it bothers me more than others, I think, is having been a hard drug addict my receptors are sensitive

For everyone who wants more government regulation of x, y and z, realize that you are advocating for killing some who won't comply. Every law is enforced at the point of a gun.

This doesn't even touch the financial and personal destruction that accompanies incarceration or the erosion of Constitutional protections (4th and 5th Amendment are destroyed by the WOD), or the ever increasing waste of tax money on this issue.

But the destruction is worth it to save some from themselves, right?

And most of the so-called "conservatives" are the some of worst at this. Speaking of which, it is that time of year. All the loser lawmakers get to sneak a bill through when no one is looking. All so some loser can say that he passed a bill. As the last Republican that snuck a bill through at Christmas, we now must deal with this legal mess. And that's the last I will speak about Politics. It's just a fact, not an argument.

I love days like today trying to wait patiently for the slowest God dam mailman in the Midwest to deliver my Kratom order.
I never used to order it because I was so impatient and would actually pay the over 400% markup at a head shop. It was other Kratom guys on this board who kept telling me how crazy I was but eventually got around to doing it right although for other reasons. I started to see that impatience as the addict in me hurrying to get his package soon as possible at all costs. That's one of many ugly aspects of addiction so I gave online orders a try. Turned out to not only be cheaper but far more potent and I went from 4oz s day to two spread out 5 gram servings at the most. No need for more. Plus I learn patience. I never do priority or express shipping. I do the time and it makes the experience more enjoyable I think. More rewarding and more medicinal than how I used it before.

I see a Kratom supplier on the board now. Haven't heard anything yet have you??

I looked into Kratom a long time ago when it got to be very popular. Never did try it that I recall of...but the sponsor on here now that you speak of was always mentioned in any of the forums I looked over and had been around for a long time.

Do some research on them and you will see...never once recall reading anything bad about them and that was years ago.

No problem. I actually looked into it a long time ago when I went through a rough patch in life that affected my sleep. I lost a child due to a terminal illness...and was on Ambien for years. When Kratom started getting popular, I did a ton of research on it as an alternative to get off of the other.

Like I said...that sponsor was in all the "inner" circles back then and highly regarded.

I never ended up trying it, but kicked the Ambien when I had to take a business trip away for almost two weeks. I purposely left it at home...and suffered through hell for almost the entire trip. But it was the only way I knew I would break myself of it.

Never touched it again when I got back home and been off for years.

So I know the struggles some go through...just with a different compound.

Going cold turkey is the only honest way REALLY and it takes a certain strength to STAY off even after. I know I can come up with an excuse or a reason to relapse awful quick.

I'm truly sorry for losing a child. I couldn't imagine the pain.
