I have a co-worker who is going to compete in her first show in 11 days. It is a small level 2 NPC show and she is natural. She is dialed in with contest prep as far as diet, training and water loading and depleation. She tells me yesterday that her PERIOD is due in 9 days. She is worried about the water retention and bloat. Are there any secrets to maybe postpone the onset of her Period.
 
I REALLY don't know - but heard that an anti-e like anastrozole or letrozole messes up a woman's period. I know that they don't take it for long periods around a contest.

I compete in Nabba Figure, this is my strategic:

)My last 10 days before a contest:
10 days before: I increase the water. I take more than 8 litres per day,
7 days before: I stop the heavy weight trainning, start to increase the salt intake, and decrease carb. Keep hi water intake.
Sunday: I start the depletation, I train in circuit 2 times a day, beyond the cardio, I cut 50% of carb( total carb intake=75-100gr), and I increase a bit more the salt. Keep hi water intake.
Monday: I cut more 25% of carb (total carb intake=50-100gr), and I increase more the salt.Trainning circuit and cardio 2 times a day.Keep Hi water intake.
Tuesday:I cut more 25% carb ( total carb=25gr ), trainning circuit and cardio 2 times, I reduce a litle the salt. Keep hi water intake.
Wednesday: I cut all the carb, and cut all the salt and sodium. I train circuit and cardio 1 time a day. I reduce a litle the water
Thrusday: I start the carb up, 400gr day...I use small meals all the day...a use rice and sweet potato, I use small amounts of chiken breast and flax seed oil. I reduce 50% of the water intake.
Friday: same the thrusday, but I cut all the water.
Saturday ( show): I dont drink the water and I prefer dont eat to much, right before stage I use some fast carbs (I like chocolates and wine, maybe some salt if necessary)...
I like to study strategics for the final week...and I want to know opinions and advices, too...

If she has birth control pills, then have her continue taking them without the weeks worth of "placebo" pills that she is supposed to take her last week. Just start her new pack instead and that will delay her period until she does the "placebo" pills again.
This may make her retain some extra water though, so if she decides to do this then she should keep her water intake high like fla + stated in her post.
Other than that, an anti e like nolva should work too if started 2 weeks before. She can become pregnant though even when taking an anti e so use other protection.
 
if her body fat is low enough her periods will stop naturally. Otherwise a smal dose of nolvadex will do it also, 20mg /day for 2 10 days should be sufficient.
