Fights: How many have you been in?

I have never been in a fight that didn't hurt. And I am pretty sure the other guy/guys never had a great revelation and a new found respect for me afterwards.

Funny I cant ever remember being Hurt.
Adrenaline Is a Wicked Mother F--k'r....

You got a calculator? Lol, seriously between couple years bouncing and being a real asshole over the years, enough that I don’t miss it that’s for sure. Lost plenty times. Had chipped teeth, broken knuckles, and have more then enough scars. There were guys I worked with way better fighters then me, actual skilled and trained guys but the comment about me was “it’s just different when you hit them, it sounds worse and looks worse, we just feel bad for them” Haha, always laughed at that. Truth is I went home in more pain then I care to admit. Like I said, got my ass handed to me more then enough.

And honestly, there is no worse feeling then knocking some poor fuck out and watch them stiffen up, eyes roll back and timberrrrr as they drop. You may have that beast feeling that split second but right after for me I always prayed that the fucker would wake up. Thank god it always worked out. The real tough guys understand exactly what I’m talking about. Not a good feeling at all.

I was able to avoid a hell of a lot of situations because of my appearance but not always. So I did what I did. Ask the guy “whatsup” and did my best to lay him the fuck out. That was the basic idea lol, hopefully it’s over quick and walk away.

My life is in a very good place now, so I have no interest in confrontation anymore. I’ll leave that up to younger guys.

I had A couple Guys the Paramedics used those Heart Paddles on.
They were Flappin like a fish out of Water. Good thing it worked or it could of been like Man Slaughter charges.
Even Just pictures of peoples faces after a fight could get you attempted Murder or some Shit.
Good thing people got smarter or I just Got Bigger! and Uglier!

True story. However, I have woken up the next morning a few times feeling less than stellar.

My dad was a professional boxer....so I grew up with a pair of gloves on. Plus he put me in Judo, Aikido, and some Filipino arts (especially knife arts) when I was young....I still practice Aikido today. I don't box as much because of my weight. Being 5'7" and around 185....everyone in my weight class is a foot taller than me. So I have to fight inside, and you will take hits trying to do that regardless of how good you are.

But I was a pretty decent boxer when I was lighter and younger. Plus my trainer said I didn't blink or turn my head when someone punched at me like a lot of people will.

But being a small guy...I took the mentality of being the meanest. Grew up in Govt. Assisted housing in a bad area. I have found over the years if there is going to be an altercation..just do it and get it over with. You go first with no talking about it, and most people are off guard and/or flinch as most will just talk anyway. You can tell the ones that will "put up" or just run their mouth just by looking in their eyes. At that point the fight is over 99% of the time. Plus there is no such thing as a fair fight unless you are in "match". Anything goes.

Got in my share of trouble....boy's home, court, pre-trial intervention...all before the age of 22.

I mentioned this before, but my days of thinking I was superman ended when I beat someone pretty bad, he instigated all of it and deserved what he got.

But he also held a grudge and the next day shot me when I didn't even know he was around. Apparently had been following me all day. Good thing he was a bad aim and some distance away from me. But I still have a slug in me to this day because of it.

After that....your priorities change. I try to get along with everyone and would not fight unless absolutely forced to.

around 40 as an adult from 20-30... my crew started the youtube backyard fighting vids, and after those started, everyone in Miami wanted to fight to get a name... I was into some shit back then, and our crew was going out fighting EVERY weekend... we would be 5-10 deep with Level, Rey Combo (fought Jorge Masdival 2x bareknuckle), Kimbo Slice, Baboon Palmino, me, and a bunch of other fighter/street guys that were seriously known here... at the time, seemed all normal and worth it... now, i think to myself "wtf were you doing???" lol.... i also got hit with a club in the mouth, been outnumbered and lumped up a few times, hit over the head with a bottle, been shot at, been stabbed twice, had my face split and scarred, and i spent 7 days in hosptial once almost losing my hand after a guy i hits teeth broke and pieces lodged into it causing a massive infection.... i have story upon story but those are for when your drunk with buddies telling war tales hahaha

toughness is fake

"Violence is not something to joke about. Toughness is fake.
The real tough people in this world don't go around bragging
about it. If you've been there, telling you about it is unnecessary,
because you know. And if you haven't been there, you're not
capable of understanding. . . "

The above quote was made by a good friend of mine over 38
years ago. This thread got me to thinking, reminiscing actually,
and reminded me of the above quote and the real ‘tough guys’
in this world, at least the ones I have come in contact with. And
believe you me, this is not toughness by proxy on my part as
I'm probably the biggest, or in my case, the smallest wimp, you
will run ever across.

The real tough guys in my opinion, do not look, act, or give the
impression of being tough. They are incognito, are under the
radar, and you would never know, never suspect, have zero
inclination of their toughness, of their life experience, of what
they are capable of doing or what they have done, if you were
introduced to them without any prior knowledge of their actions.
At least the ones I have met. That is not to say I have met a lot
of them, I haven't. But the ones in my ‘sphere’ . . . mercenaries,
martial artists (when it meant something . . . like 50 years ago),
and ‘clean up’ men, the real men you call when no nobody else
can ‘calm the storm’) So the few I have known were very humble,
not cocky, not tough acting at all, never talk about it even when
asked. (See paragraph one.)

(Nothing against the things I'm going to mention here . . .) they
don't drive big, fancy or loud cars, have big muscles, no ink,
jewelry or distinguishing characteristics, no swagger, wear very
conservative clothing, live a modest lifestyle, nothing that would
call attention to themselves, and very easily get lost in a crowd
. . . .they blend in. They may be sitting back in the corner, alone,
quite, minding their own business, but when called into action,
you better be prepared, your life will be altered, irrevocable.
That is what makes then so dangerous . . . you just don't know.

Toughness is fake.

The guy You describe is A Siyco!!!
Mentally disturbed!
I fought for Fun, Mostly.
Plus I have always been the Happy Guy.
People just looked at me Funny! So I had to ask WTF you lookin at.
There reply would Seal there Fate!

being a psycho is just another tool of trying to be tough....

a lot of people use it, and are considered "tough" because
of it...."craziness...or psycho acting people scare people...
anything to make people "uneasy".....and its always a certain type
of person that is actually scared himself....

or that "I don't give a fuck" person..."ill beat your fucking ass" person...
this shit would have some clout 100 years ago....but today if you
even make a threat to "beat someones ass"...you will go to jail...

toughness is a foreshawdow....to make people scared....so really, its
just a bitch move...

I actually wrote my thesis on this.

:)

I've gotten out (stupid I know, just heat of the moment) and they usually drive off scared. I was drunk one night after a party, all dressed up lol. My Wife was driving, some asshole was driving like a dick and talking shit. I tell him to pull over, he continues to act tough. Next red light I get out, he takes off blowing the red light haha.

Seriously bro, u smoke some good shit.

Where do you get it?

It's an Augmented Reality Dream. My job is to learn how to control the dream. Some of people are just coming around to the idea, but it's been going on for a long time.

With my brother counts? If yes, about 500...

If not, 2 I think. One the guy threw a rock at my mom's cat and I hit his knees with a large piece of wood, he never walked thru my street again.

The other one was with a friend over some bullshit. We both had a black eye for a week.

So true. The tuffest guys I train with are the last that youd ever imagine could hand you a serious butt whipping. These are the guys that you’d elbow past in a crowd and never even look at.

Picture Ryan Hall trying to back out of an altercation with you as you press the issue,......

For those that don’t grapple or follow MMA or Metamoris, google him. You can’t find a less imposing fighter than him.

I was a stupid fucker when I was younger, so many assault cases that I literally had to go to the army or go to jail. But for the most part I made my living as a young adult with bare knuckle fighting. That's all I'm going to talk about it, not proud of the dumb young man that I was.
