Finalizing Lantus Protocol - Opinions/Advice

I've done Novolin R sub q - lots of experience with that - but only around meals

Now I want to put together a Lantus and Novolin R protocol - Which you can see I've pieced together advice from members here and other websites - and mutants protocol - But Not sure If i put it together correctly or maybe its not layed out efficiently ?

General Notes and Plan

So in the a.m make sure fasted is low 70s to approx 85.
Then after eating each meal approx 1 - 2 hours check glucose - if glucose to determine to adjust lantus dose.

Lantus First meal (xx) i.u

PREWORKOUT
PreWorkout Meal--30 min prior
15 Min Prior to workout--Novolin r 10 i.u
10 Min Prior to workout- Drink shake #1 or other optionS
Gatorade , dextrose ,eaa or oatmeal and grape drink ---50G whey isolate, 50g dextrose, 40g oatmeal
Shake 1: 20g EAA's , (39G) 40-60g Low DE Maltodextrin, 200mg Caffeine (or pre-workout powdered mix of choice in place of caffeine)

INTRAWORKOUT
Shake #2: 20g EAA's , 76G Dextrose -

POST WORKOUT
10 i.u hgh
20 min later 10 i.u novolin r - whey or egg whites dextrose drink
2 cups pasteurized egg whites, 1 cup dry oats, 1 banana or 1 cup blueberries (I prefer them to be frozen), splenda or stevia
You will want to have around 80-100 grams of simple sugars such as dextrose and grape juice and an additional 60 grams of whey protein at the same time as your insulin.

You will then eat another moderate glycemic index meal one hour after your high glycemic shake.
 
Use Lantus as a tool to keep your blood glucose down. If your waking up under 90 you don't need Lantus. If your getting higher readings at night place Lantus mid day when levels are rising. I've abused Lantus pretty hard in the past. Up to 300iu a day and my offseason progress was haulted after about 3 weeks.

that notation is to monitor insulin resistance - the purpose of Lantus isn't to treat diabetes in this example - thanks for chiming in though

Judging by this comment, I don’t think you understand how insulin works.

Why wait 20mins after gh to take post workout slin?

Are you planning on taking this R and Lantus on EVERY TRAINING DAY?
Feel like Lantus is best used:
1. Once a week on a weaker BP you're trying to bring up / high refeed day
2. Low Lantus doses to lower blood sugar daily, especially when running high GH

this protocol is too complicated, all this timing is not needed completely ... it's simpler than it sounds and people make quantum physics out of insulin

How would you tighten it up then?
 
170g protein in a pre/intra/post shake seems like overkill

Too many unnecessary things here.

casein is going to gum up the works and significantly slow down your carbs getting processed, same with isolate in the intra shake, but to a lesser extent.

what is your height weight approx bodyfat
how long is your workout
are you shooting the novolin subq or IM

Yea so im around 8.5% bodyfat - had a hydrostat done few months ago - using that lean body mass and present day weight of 202 and lean body mass of 186 puts me at 8.5% aprox
Been cutting the few extra % to get to a more anabolic condition

Workout is like 45 min or so

Appreciate the info and the statements - but when you say this is gonna gum it up..etc - Are you suggesting making that Casein To Hydro? and the INTRA take that out all together? Little more info would be helpful otherwise im just guessing on what your suggesting

im not leaving you hanging, i needed that extra info to make suggestions

i would not want to deal w 2 different shots of nov r and two different peak times

this is all coming from what I personally do and what works for me, so 🤷🏻‍♂️



preworkout meal - 8oz chk brst, 350g jasmine rice

+15-20min shoot novolin r IM 20iu and gh

+10min preworkout powder (total war right now), 10g glutamine, 10g creatine mono

+15-20min begin workout

intra shake:

50g karbolyn
60g HBCD
30g eaa
6-8g taurine
2g salt

I make sure ive gotten 75% of the intra down by the 2hr mark post insulin shot, it seems to peak for me at that time

post workout- 50g hydrolyzed whey

+1hr reg meal like preworkout meal

I don't think you understand what Lantus does. There is no super compensation effective with Lantus, lowering blood sugar, lowering blood pressure, hunger and igf 1 increase is the benefit of Lantus. All you need is 10-20 iu for those benefits
 
I would do that....

FIRST THING AM: 20+iu Lantus subq in one dose
(if you do fasted cardio): 2iu HGH IM + 2iu R/LOG IM + (if you take T4 take it here or before bed fasted)

(1-1,5h before training) PREWO MEAL: high carbs - medium prots - low fats | HERE SHOOT INSULIN R, HGH IM, INJ L-CARNETINE, VAR/HALO/DROL/SD.
INTRA WO: 30-50 HBCD/DEXTROSE bla bla bla, whatever you think you need, i just go for DEXTROSE SALT TAURINE GLUTAMMINE, no EAA they fuck with my stomach)
POSTWO MEAL: high carbs - medium prots - low to no fats

R insulin lasts 4-6h, so it will cover your carbs from PREWO INTRA POSTWO meal.
Usually here i dose it empirically 1iu/20g of carbs from all 3 meals, i want to just help the pancreas and have all the benefits from insulin active.

Check your fasted blood glucose from day to day, it should be between 70-100 (i prefer 70-90 but that's me being overcomplicated).
IF glucose is fine don't add any Lantus, if not add 5 more iu.

I guess that you want to use Lantus for THAT application not just IGF.

Ya. I’d ditch the casein in place of whey iso for the pre workout meal, and ditch the whey iso all together for the intra drink and only have the eaa’s.
