First Cycle, Gains Slow - Overtraining?

Search "DC Training" or "UHT".
Most obviously you are overtraining. It is much more productive to stimulate than to annihilate.
CNS recovery is more important than most can comprehend.
Macronutrients are just one piece of the puzzle.
Keep repeating "Less is more..."

arnold and the oldschool bb's trained for 3-6hrs a day but with all the food/drugs they still kept getting bigger and recovering did they overtrain?



i think of overtraining as training too hard and not giving your body a proper amount of what it needs to recover 100%(food anabolics sleep)

Well, youre entitled to believe what you want. I know from my own real world experience over many years of lifting that this is a fallacy. If you are training truly balls to the wall HIT style and doing drop sets etc, it is extremely easy to overtrain to the point that no matter how much you eat or how many steroids you take you arent going to heal fast enough. THere is no reason to do long marathong training sessions that last much longer than an hour, youre just either wasintg your time or overtraining. What makes you think that if you eat more its going to make you heal faster? Eating more isnt going to necessarrily make your body heal faster . Once you take in enough nutrients your body is going to be healing at its maximum rate, and anything over that is excess and is going to be stored as bodyfat. End of story. Most guys that go on "bulking cycles" end up overeating and just get plain fat. You can only put on muscle so fast. I tried the method of eating massive amounts of calories in the range of 4500-6k calories per day and they were clean calories too. The only thing more I gained was a belly. It just doesnt work.
If hes not growing, you cannot just assume its his diet. To tell someone to just eat more is simply bad advice. You have to wonder about the training program and what "supplements" he is taking too. How lean are they now? etc.
