hey guys this the first time ive ever posted pics on the board . im dieting now for a contest in may of this year . i just wanted everyones advice . the guy whos helping me on my diet is a an old school bodybuilder . the first pic is me 5 years ago the second pic is 9 months ago and the last three are from yesterday. dont be to hard on me by the way my screen name does fit my size ( littlejames) . im 15 wks out from the contest it will be my first and ill compete in the novice . in the second pic my body fat weas 12.7% and the last was 6.8 % i dont no how accurate the 7 point skin fold test is but that is what it read . im 5'11" tall and weigh 204 lbs . maybe give me some tips on some areas to bring up , my legs are the smallest thing on me . i hate to train legs .

Dude, you look in the mirror and you don't see what you really are. Especially when you make progress fast. Your mind is so used to seeing something else and you are constantly looking at yourself so you see something different than the current image. I do it to. Everytime I look in the mirror I still see someone weighing 160lbs, its a hard thing to get over. It's called bigorexia. But everynight before you go to bed look in the mirror and tell yourself you look great, and REALLY MEAN IT! This does something to the motivational aspect of your mind and will help you deeply.
I hope this has been of some help to you brother.
 
thanks your right maybe that will help . i no that if i go to work and work all day when i get home at night i look bigger . which the first diet i did a trial run before christmas where you carb up on monday and thursday and i think it played mind games with me .

thanks guys im really shocked at the responses ive gotten. it really helps . and yes wilmington does have nice beachs . i hope that once im closer to the show when im ripped i can go and walk the beachs to look at all the hotties.

Looking good brother!! You have definitely made a world of improvement in the past few months!! I am proud of ya bro!! This guy started training with me a year or so ago, and has really dedicated himself to transforming his physique... You know that I will be in Wilm. cheering you on... However, I may be a little out of it because final exams will be done on that Friday, but nevertheless I will be there... lol Again, I am proud of ya dude!! You will do well don't worry! I hope to see ya in a few weeks when I get a chance to get back to the Ville... School is kicking my ass!! lol Tell the wife and kids I said hello, and not to make you pick up pizza for them on the way home!! :D

Great progress, Bro! Like everyone said, you have come a long way. Stay positive and keep motivated. If you hate legs, train them first in the week, get them over with but hit them hard. I hated legs until I started really hitting squats and deads. Man that really started packing on the size. Now, I love legs. Keep it up, Bro and good luck in the show.
 
Hey LJ, You have made some great progress in this time. Now you mentioned legs, well what you need to do is start lovin those legs. On legs day you say to yourself, God I love training legs!! I mean really love training them. I did this early on in my days because I never wanted to have skinny legs. So I learned to love training them. A magical thing happens when you start hammering your legs, the rest of you grows along with them. So get onto those legs, you have 15 weeks to really make an impact on them, and yes you can do it in 15 weeks. But you have done real good to get to this point. Keep up the hard work!!

I'm going to echo what has already been said: Good job! :)

You asked about bringing up lagging body parts, I don't believe trying during a contest diet is the proper time for it. :( You might be able to make small improvements, like if you train legs once every two weeks, start training them more often. :)

I've come to find out the cool thing about dieting down is you are made aware of weak areas as they are hard to ignore. Lol! Just take note and work on them come next off season. :)

Again, you've made great progress!

yoyu had me there !!! thanks guys yea ill try alittle harder this off season . i train legs every week but just never went that heavy . now i am and im also try more deads and big movements like that . ill keep posting pics as the show gets closer .

Hey bro, I might be coming down for my bday in mid Feb, we will have to get together and train... I haven't been in a gym since I started back to school, so I am getting small all over again... :( lol The pics are good! Just stick with it and do what Bob tells ya and you will be fine... Like I said, I will definitely be at the show, and we will have to go out and destroy a buffet somewhere afterwards... :D Call me when you get a chance...
