First timers and noobs!!

I sincerely hope that all these first time users have a complete understanding of what they are getting themselves into when they stick that first pin in!!

I am concerned over your choices to use AAS! WHat are your real reasons? Are you ever going to step on stage? Have you considered the long term ramifications of your decision? Why are you really wanting to use AAS? vanity is no reason to live a lifetime of endocrine problems and possible unhealthy side effects. Think long and hard about your reasons and make sure you know the consequences. Just because your buddy and his buddy and his brother and his buddies are all using this stuff is no reason to jump into the fire with them. Just because you are impatient and want all of your gains to come for you in 6-8 weeks is no reason to subject yourself to the problems that lie ahead. Hell I would bet that many of you have not even invested 2 years of your life to the gym, I mean serious gym time here! Just think about it.

Gyno, blood pressure problems Erectile dysfunction, no libido, acne, testicular atrophy, hair loss, fat deposition due to estrogen, possible liver problems, issues with your cholesterol, moodiness, relationship issues and then there is the killer...........JAIL TIME IF YOU GET CAUGHT!

Think about it!!!

Great post OF. What about an individual that has worked for years and never plans on competing but would like take the physique to the level and is conserviative about their usage? For example just running very low Test doses (250-350mg/wk). I have conteplated for years whether or not to take anything, but I'm glad I've taken the time to research and have a better understanding of what/how to take if/when i decide to cross over to the darkside! :)

Was your post more geared for the people who just jump in head first taking crazy amounts?

Well in a sense yes, but also after reading a thread here about the guy who has developed gyno and acne real bad on a low dose. I am questoning the reasoning behind some using at all, no matter how long they have been pounding the iron. You can always hire a trainer like Phil to take your physique to the next level without AAS. The key lies i your nutrition. I know genetics will be brought up here and yes that is true. But you really can build an impressive physique without AAS and keep your health intact. I realize if you are going to take that jump then no words can stop that. Just play it smart, do not overdo it and really think about the life altering decision you are about to make. And start low and slow. You do not need three, four or more compounds

It sucks taking so long to put on gains, which it does at my age, I'm only 18...my buddies all juice and their only 18-20! They throw size on quick, but then they always crash hard. It's so obvious what their doing by their apparent "moon" face as I like to call it. They have no desire whatsoever to do competitions, I don't know why they do it. Not to mention they run 1g of test along with 1 or 2 other compounds :confused:

Oh well. When I'm still healthy and pounding away at 30, while they have heart problems, I guess I can laugh then.
 
Oldfella, you have done this on multiple occasions. ive posted 3 or 4 threads geared towards the same thing. its like banging your head against a wall. every month or so it needs to be restated because every day we get new members that of no fault of theyre own are brand new or misinformed. ive been cruising other forums and cant believe the uneducated, and downright dangerous advice offered to beginners. at one point i fell in this category myself. offering misinformation because before i found promuscle i had no idea how uneducated i was. i honestly wish i was still planning my first cycle. if i waited until now the gains would be tremendous. not because of the drugs but because of basic knowledge of diet and exercise, greatly in part due to Phil teaching me. just think if this gets through to one person and they never get psorosis of the liver from using 17AA orals, or never have to get gyno surgery its worth taking the time to educate. all of the veterans still teach me. infact ive learned alot from you personally. and its a great service thats offered here. honest, educated, and thoughtful advice that many people woud pay big money for for free at your fingertips. so if your new to this take the advice of our veterans, they are strangers that are concerned for your well being. go anywhere else in life and try to find that.....great post OLD

With an attitude like that you will be 50, and have a great body, and most important, be healthy.

I started using I think before my 17th birthday for football. Had no clue what I was doing, knew nothing about pct. Ran deca only and looked great but crashed. I was very immature at the time and had a horrible temper from all the extra hormones in my body. Im in my 20's now but still run the occasional cycles. No real health problems that i can associate with steroids only. Tend to have the moodiness and high blood pressure even while off cycle. But high bp runs in my family, and could be due to stress and anxiety problems Ive had. Yeah steroids are very misunderstood and in most cases used wrong like in my case. But luckily most people I know that used them wrongly are ok now. They saved me from turning to drugs or drinking like most of those that were around me so I guess in the end Im glad I made the choice. Whether I have heart problems down the line I guess well see. We are in the end the masters of our own bodies and should think about the long term i agree. Like if you want to have kids later on, want to risk jail, have emotional problems etc. You never know.
 
i think using was the best thing i ever did. I enjoy it very much, and without it i would be lucky to be 200 lbs by the time im 40. I dont abuse my doses, and i am fully knowledgeable how to keep sides at bay. Im not trying to be argumentative, by posting this, its just my opinion. If you dont research, then you deserve whats coming to you. The info is there for everyone, and some/most choose to not look for it.
 
Noobs, READ CLOSELY.

If you start on steroids without building a good foundation, you aren't going to get the results you are wanting from cycling.

I've seen plenty of noobs start right away with the sauce only to not get anywhere.

They were bigger when they got done (not tremendously, though), but they were still just as smooth as they were before. They had only turned into a slightly bigger version of what they were when they started. With their shirts off you couldn't really even tell they worked out.

I've seen plenty of guys who had a couple years of serious training under their belts before they started who looked great after they cycled.

If you can't set up a great training program for yourself and outline a diet for both bulking and cutting BY YOURSELF then you don't need to start cycling.

You really need to understand how BOTH of those affect your body before you add in another HUGE variable by adding juice. Understanding of diet and training and how it affects your body is what's going to give you great gains when you're "on", not how many different compounds and how many mg's you're taking.

If you can't fully comprehend that, then you WILL be dealing with the very real sides that Oldfella outlined in the OP.

Fortunately, you're in the right place to get proper guidance in all of those areas. Ask for it, listen to it when you get it, and HEED it very closely.

As long as you have the discipline to stick with it, you won't fail at your goals. WE WON'T LET YOU.

Great post guys. As somewhat of a noob, those are many of the same questions I have recently asked myself. As a 40 year old, non-competing, corporate management level office worker / regular family guy, I have made decisions to use gear in the past. Now that I'm older and hopefully a little wiser, I can make decisons based upon some of the not so good decisions from my past. Now that I think about all of it. Do I want to risk my health, my family and my freedom to look a little better in the mirror? I don't know but as I continue to grow older my priorities change as do my circumstances. With that said, I'm happy to go to the gym, workout and try my hardest to be healthy and happy with what I have. I'll leave the stage to those who want to be up there, as for me...I'll be here, reading and learning from the pro's and vets of this board.

I started with no education and wondered why I lost everthing I gained, I wish I would have taken my time and learned about proper dosage and pct, now its alot different I know what im doing so I keep what I earned I never thought pct was so important till I tried it.
