Not sure if all of you guys ever heard of this so thought I would tell you about it. Rub lightly with olive oil, garlic salt and put on a grill, I used a Foreman grill for 8 min. I turned it once during this time. Freakin excellent! Very tender and very little fat if any.

You gotta watch out for those flat iron steaks!! Ima tellin ya!

I get one of those every week at a local mexican resturant. They bring the steak out on the actual flat iron skillet that they cook it on and its sizzling while the waiter carries it out. After the waiter placed it on the table I rotated the plate carefully with my napkin so that the handle faced toward the end of the table thinking that was the safest position. Just 1 couple of minutes later I reached for my glass of water and brushed my forearm against that hot handle. Needless to say I got burned pretty bad. Now two weeks later I have a huge scab about 2 inches long on my forearm!

LOL, hell yeah I did! I went on eating like nothing had happend. My family really knew nothing of what I had just suffered. I burned like hell but I just went on eating like nothing had happened. I didnt want to do anything to lessen the experience we were having as a family eating out that night.

Going to give this a try.

It's not necessary to use fats to cook steaks. The right way to cook a "fiorentina" or every steak is to put it on the grill/iron, straight! Don't use a fork, don't forate it because the liquids must stay inside the steak. Rotate the side every minute, the total time depends on the size and the type of cooking. For a 1 inch steak, little fat, a pair of minutes on each side it's right to a medium cooking, but you go like you prefer.
Use an EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil (it's the healtiest) tablespoon on the steak after it's cooked so the oil reaches a not so high temp.and it doesn't changes nutritional values. Salt or every spice you like. I use e.v.olive oil and salt, nothing more. Enjoi it;)

What a coincidence, I just tried this stuff for the first time today! LOL, and my exact comment was "this shit is amazing!".

I've had a lot of different good lean cuts (sirloin strips, shoulder tenders, etc) but this stuff takes first place easily. So damn good. I had to limit myself to 12 oz since I'm dieting but I could have easily downed about 3 lbs of the stuff. mmmmm

I believe its what we call oyster blade steak downunder, and its a big part of my diet.
