I recently done 4 sets of Floor Barbell Presses, they felt good now my question is are they harder than a standard flat bench barbell press and will they help my flat bench press go up ? Thanks for the help and advice. - C

They will help your BP go up. You can't used any momentum to move the bar so, yes, they are harder than a regular BP. They have to be done more than one time to see any benefit from them.

hey P B
could you give me a rundown on what a chest workout would look like with floor presses
thanks

Floor presses are normally used as a max effort exercise. I'm starting to shy away from heavy singles on a lot of exercises because I feel like too many singles were just not effective. I'm liking heavy triples and sets of 5.

Floor press: warm-up, 185x3, 225x3, 315x3, 365x3, 405x3, 455x3
or work up to a heavy set of 5 or even 3 sets of 5 if you are trying to build some mass.

Triceps work
Upper back work
Delts

done.

PB i have always thought this. i like to alternate a max 5, max 3, and max single in that order each week. has worked well for me. in bench esp.
