Just tough it out, day 3 is the worst when the viral load is at its highest, then it'll start going down from there and by day 6 you should be feeling a lot better

If you started the tamiflu then I also add Apple cider vinegar and take 1 tablespoon every two hours straight

other than those airboune vitamin supps......for me the fix is almost always the same. sleep and eating.

Viruses just have to run their course unfortunately. You can help your immune system with things mentioned above like vitamin c and apple cider vineger.
Rest and stay hydrated. Keep away from other people especially infants and the elderly so you don't transmit it. Wear a surgical mask if you have to go into public.

Thanks guys for the tips. Luckily I caught it early. I thought I just had a cold, but they said let's test to be safe. Sure enough it was positive. The "sharp" cough is the worst. No body aches yet. Been drinking OJ today, plus I take a 1000mg of Vitamin C everyday. My wife is still getting over it and she got it on the 27th. Still has a lingering cough.

Obviously no gym time for a few days.

try drinking Organic apple cider vinegar a tablespoon or two mixed with juice a few times a day it help balance the bodies PH there are other uses for colds with it google it.

and like mentioned before run a higher dose of Vitamin C a few 1000mgs wont do much once you already have the cold, so run it high enough to the point of it giving you the runs.. and OTC medication might help mask the symptoms but may interfere with your bodies natural defense system lots of water and LOTS of rest!

Just enjoy the ride. Flu may lay way to a sinus infection or worse bronchitis if you don't properly hydrate, eat, and take some common supplements. Try to rest as well. It sucks but you just gotta be patient.

The influenza virus usually circles the earth with a new strand twice a year. Usually coincides to right around fall and spring. So there is a strong possibility you can get it twice in one year.
