I'm all about quality ingredients and giving my body the best fuel I can as a competitor. That said, I don't have a $300 grocery budget per week. Really wanting to focus on quality going into this years offseason where I can and wanted to hear thoughts.
Carbs are pretty cheap so there isn't an enormous difference there- rice, potatoes, oats, sprouted grains, etc.
Fats and protein can get pricy fast though with omega eggs, grass fed, organic, etc.
Which food sources do you guys see playing the biggest role and where would you cut a few corners? I'd like to get all hormone free, organic, grass fed beef and chicken but as of now I'm going through about 15lbs of chicken a week and 4-5lbs of beef (roughly 6oz cooked portions per meal) and that may not be feasible.
This can apply to food or supps as well. Where do you guys think the money is most well spent?
