Seems we have had differing experiences.Same with me brother. I dont even bother trying to get my doctor to prescribe me test after getting the run around and side eyes from many docs. Once they see a big muscular guy asking for testosterone most label 'drug seeking behavior'. That goes on a permanent record. I also manage my own health and draw bloods completely seperate from insurance and pcp. We all know more about hormones than many doctors from being our own guinea pigs and learning from each other on these forums.
Only thing id argue is that WERE the employees if we're getting extorted and need to search multiple doctors paying their initial fees. just to get an earful of somebody's opinion and told NO. Unfortunately medicine is not standardized when one doctor prescribes this and one doctor will prescribe that.. when we walk into a doctor's 'office' we are walking into his corporation. That should tell everybody what they need to know about the united states medical system. I sure went into the wrong business lol
I went to a urologist at a university hospital as they were the best i could find when i was competing as a light heavy at a height of 5"6". He prescribed me test on just my symptoms and gave me a requisition for blood work. I never asked for T i asked for testing and a solution to the symptoms. Couple Dr since then have continued prescribing for me. I have had Dr ask me for my opinion on training, diet, how to recover from an injury. It is the rare Dr that gives me any attitude. One did and i fired him. When ever i have asked a Dr for a drug they have given it to me. But that is probably because i turn down most of the drugs they offer me including pain meds.
I have had Dr give me differing opinions for the same conditions. None are right 100% of the time i have had them be wrong a few times. Don't tell anyone but in my working years i made mistakes on occasion and came to the wrong opinion on things. It happens to the best of us.
Medicine is a business, when ever money is being exchanged i expect nothing different, it always s cracks me up when people think different. Dr do what is in their comfort zone and that is it. I did the same in my working years. My managers didn't always like how i did things, but they weren't going to fire me.
