For the members with hair.. What is your protocol..

I still got alot of my hair.. I have thinned out a little in the front and somewhat on the back top of my head.. I understand that genetics plays a huge role and that AAS usage aggrivates the situation by speeding up the hairloss process... My brother is 2 years younger than me and had less hair than me and has never touched a drop of AAS.. Here is my routine to hault hairloss and hopefully grow some back!!! I have only been on this protocol for a couple of months and i understand you must have patience and need to wait many months for any type of results..

Finasteride: 1.25 mg a day.. I got the Proscar brand which is 5mg and i cut the pill in 4 pieces.. Becuase of the shape of the pill it is hard to get 5 equal pieces... I know two people taking finasteride and have gotten great results growing hair back...

Saw Palmetto: One 500 mg capsule daily...

Nizoral Shampoo: every evening during post workout shower i use this... let the shampoo sit on your scalp for 5 minutes before rinsing..

Minoxidil 5%: I apply this at night the recommended 1ml doseage

Retin A Micro 0.1%: I apply the gel at night on trouble areas 10 minutes
after Minoxidil

Folligen: several droplets on trouble areas 10 minutes after retin A application

Minoxidil and Azelaic Acid 5% combo: I use this in the AM before work. This comes in a spray bottle.. I apply 4 sprays evenly around trouble areas after i apply my hair gel..

Just wondering what other member's regiments look like??? I can post sources for purchase of these items... As long as the moderators allow me to do so.....

u could always ask your barber if you have a good head shape to shave it! I've been shaving mine slick and clean for several years now...not due to aas but because i had a 5head...which is a high forhead...but that was family not AAS. I have a great shape for the bald look so maybe look into that...it's not so high maintenance and it's very CHEAP to have!!

bump what slim said.........shave it. i actually have a full head of hair but my wife likes me better with a shaved head and she makes the rules. plus i save about $20 a month by not going to the barber, thats like what a quarter tank of gas

Probably will have a shaved head forever cause everytime I start to grow it out I can't stand it and hate the way it looks. I don't know how cost effective it is for me though, razors arn't cheap (I use the fusion) and I go through them like crazy.

hey guys...don't waste your money. If you are going to be bald nothing will stop it, just slow it down a little. I lost all mine in my early years of competeing. Finally went for the transplants. It's the only way if you MUST have hair. Today the bald look is in so alot of guys don't have to worry about it unlike in the 80's-90's......

That's how I feel these days. A few years of fighting it with finasteride worked well, but I noticed a huge loss of strength while on finasteride. My family physician failed to mention that with less DHT circulating (which is very androgenic), I would lose strength. Additionally, with less androgens in my body, I experienced water retention and a decrease in my ability to burn fat. Be careful.

i used to use proscar and nizoral shampoo ect.. but, stopped... i have a gorgeous lions mane and have not lost it yet.. whne the mullet comes back into style, i will challenge phidas to a hair match.. i will be victorious.. it is genetic.. you can try and prevent ity with other compounds but, many of them have sides as well.. but, most docs do not have much of a issue scribing proscar or something help ya out.. but, remember to start at a low dosage.. it can screw up the sex drive.. it whats the used in having this lions man if cant please the pride..

i started balding when i was about 20 .. I took propecia and rogain off and on with ok results . Lots of my friends useally black guys told me to shave it so i did and i looked like i just had kemo , while all my black friends look great with a shaved head ..
so finnaly last november i went to see a doctor at medical hair restoration and he told me that propecia works well only if the folicle is not all ready dead . So i said f- it . I dickerd with the price got some savings and went and got a transplant now 7 months into it i must say it was the best 4500 i have ever spent . I love rubbing my forehead and feeling a hairline . I am now growing my hair long and it looks great . My doctor said it will take about 14 months to get the full thinkness .. I highly reccomend it ..

I am still taking propecia for any future hairloss but if i start balding in the non transplated parts of my head in the future i will be back at mhr .

I found a hairloss fourm reccommending the best doctors . My doctor did not get very good results but i am happy with him

never had any trouble with propecia . The docter if you are having trouble conciveing a child just stop taking it , your sperm levels will be fine in a couple of weeks

I use that fusion too....blades are really expensive but i milk em' for all they got!! Dont you find that single "liner" blade absolutely useless?! Offtopic a bit, i know!

I'm no physician, but the study was saying life long problems with sexual function...DHT may play some role in MPB, but it is a very important hormone for sex drive and muscle building. I'm young, but personally I'm going to wait and see what happens before I start popping perscription drugs...Hair replacement seems more expensive, but a healthier plan in the long term

Less DHT circulating because less conversion. But If there is less conversion, it must be more testosterone circulating.
