From bulk straight to a small calorie deficit?

I'm currently in my 10th week of bulking. My plan was to bulk for another 10 weeks, but due to unexpected personal issues and a lot of stress, I haven't been able to eat as many calories as I should (I'm still eating, but I'm forcing myself).

I know it's not the best idea, but I was thinking about maintaining a small calorie deficit for the next 10 weeks and slowly cutting.

What would you guys do in this situation? I don't want to interrupt the cycle because the remaining funds wouldn't be enough for another cycle anyway, so I'd rather use it all up.

Currently, I'm taking weekly:

600 mg Test E
300 mg Deca
300 mg EQ

If “life” is getting in the way essentially I would just drop down to a cruise and pull calories slightly below maintainence until you’re able to focus properly again

Why dont you do a cut and low/moderate doses and save up for your next blast when your life and everything has settled down

I would hop to just to maintenance or the past ten weeks worth of gains become basically a waste.

Thank you all for your replies. I decided that if my situation didn't improve and my appetite didn't return by the end of the week, I would go on a cruise.

Not to continueee to dig in, but what are the "life circumstances"??

I'm only asking before when I have a client whose appetite is maxed out, i think of two options depending on WHERE THEY ARE in their growth phase. If you were in an offseason, 10 weeks aint shittt, thats the beginning to mid of a grwoth phase. Knowing that, my first adjustment (again, if you were my client) would be to keep gear at the same level and just doing a diet break. Reduce cals by 10-20%, reset the appetite for 2-3 weeks. Chances are, youll be hungry again and then we slowly keep pushing. 10-20% shouldnt be enough to lose much weight, youll just be flatter. But...if this were say at the tail end of an offseason and you are a bit fluffier from holding your new size for quite a bit, i'd just pull back the gear to cruise doses and keep cals exactly where they are. If you pull doses back AND food back, again...the 10 weeeks will have been completely wasted.

Personal and family problems. It's nothing health or gear related. Stress and worry are completely killing my appetite. Thank you for your reply. If nothing changes by the end of the week, I'll do as you suggest

how far above maintenance calories are you in the growth phase? how far short are you falling when you don't have the appetite to get all you calories in?

About above 500 calories a day. So far, I haven't reduced my calorie intake and I'm forcing myself to eat despite the stress. Maybe it's silly, but I just don't want these weeks to be wasted. I've put so much work and effort into them.

I am just one guy's opinion, but I like the idea of going to maintenance while you ride this out. Stress and cortisol dont mix well with bodybuilding. If the stress / anxiety of getting in calories is piling on to what you already have going on in other areas of your life, remove that variable and drop to maintenance. That said, I don't necessarily see the benefit of going to a small deficit, unless you decide to abandon the growth phase and move on to a full on cut. If not, maintenance feels like the appropriate route. You wont get sloppy at maintenance, but by staying out of a deficit you are not going to lose any of the gains you have already made.

I cannot speak to the PED angle, but either way, I hope whatever you are going through is resolved soon, and with a positive outcome man. If it is something you could benefit from talking to someone about, I know myself, and some other members of the site would happily do so if you just need a neutral ear, or someone to vent to.

No problem man, and no obligation, but I am serious about the open ear, I know you don't know me, but I have been doing with this with guys that have shit going on in the Army for 20+ years, if you need an outlet, I and many othes here can listen.
