front delt problem?

my training partner has no front delts. none. whatsoever.
he can overhead press 225 for reps, easily, but no size.

is it genetics? is the area overtrained? (we train DC style). what could be wrong?

ill see if i can get him to email me a picture and ill get it up here, but it's weird. most people have front delts that overpower their chests, and its the opposite in his case.

any ideas?! thanks bros.
 
Well the pic would be good if you can get one. How is his overall chest development? Is his upper chest area nice and thick or does his chest taper into his clavicles? Sometimes people just need to actually work their front delts directly and others get plenty of front delt work from chest and shoulders. Has he done much flat bench work with a bar? Is his bench press up to scratch? You see there are too many questions to ask about what you guys are or aren't doing for that matter. A pic will help and many others will no doubt chime in.

The realization I have come to is that we are have a given structural shape with weaknesses and strengths. Yes, we can improve upon are weaknesses but they seem to always follow are strengths no matter what.

We can control how lean and how the muscle is perceived by improving upon it with added muscle, the lean factor of it, the conditioning, etc...but I still think are strengths will always outweigh are weaknesses!

Shape sometimes is shape, do your best to make it flow with your given structural. Do not let a weakness stop you from getting better and better, find a way to make it work for your body with proper training to let it somewhat catch up to your strengths to a certain point.

Just my opinion, I know confusing:confused::confused:
 
I feel that having big noticeable front delts defiantly is up to your genetics, but i see them the most when doing exercises with resistance like cables.
