I had to learn that lesson as well.

All the guys I partied with and who claimed to be my friends were just dragging me down. I have two friends from that period of time. Don't feel bad.

It continues this way and it is a good thing. You will have to determine this throughout life. Some people are just better off being weeded out of your life. That takes time to see sometimes and it hurts when you find them out.

I've had trouble learning to tell people to fuck off because I am always trying to forgive them. Like Ouch said, it's a lesson well learned.

When I was sick and dying in that damn hospital, it was then that I realized who my friends were. The ones who called and visited, the ones who came to see me when I got out and was staying at my parents house. Those were my true friends. A simple thing like bringing some lunch over and hanging out,watching some TV. Guys who brought me books to read, sent me cards, those were my friends. When I was home depressed real bad after the surgery and one of my friends calls me to tell me to snap out of it,get the hell out of the house and start walking and get myself back into shape,and forced me into tears until I snapped out of it and listened to his words, that is a true friend. And most of all my beautiful fiance, who was there everyday to feed me,clean me and hold me at the lowest moments of my life, that is my best friend.

Its times like that when you realize who is a friend and all the rest can go fuck themselves.SV get rid of the losers man, they will only bring you down,FUCK THEM.

yeah, when i stopped drinking i lost contact with maybe 90% of the people i saw as my "friends"... the only thing they have in common is drinking...
and people is shit... its the truth... jeoulsy and bullshitting... almost everyone is like that, its very hard to find someone who is not, so i have accepted that almost all of my friends are idiots, but i know that now... so i can still hang with them... but thats just what they are... "hangers"... not close friends. close friends is much more RARE then you think... so if you have One, or even a few, be sure to hold on to them!
