Getting blood checked for cancer before hgh cycle

How many of you ACTUALLY got their blood test that scans for cancer cells BEFORE your HGH run. If so how much was it money wise. Or is this not a big concern? Some friends and I were just talking about this today. I'm in my 20's and i'm thinking of getting my blood checked for cancer for just peace of mind.

Opinions?

If you do as it is not a bad idea- just get a full CBC as something would be off such as leukocytes or RBC. Actually I think you are smart. I get mine done semi-annually but never did prior to my somewhat heavy usage. Good safe move. While you are at it get a baseline IGF and free and serum testosterone.

I also think my body doesnt produce enough GH on its on....my reasoning is I have only been on for about 6 days BUT I have lost about 9lbs! I did change up my diet but i'm not even doing cardio yet lol. My body is responding so fast to it. Or it could be my diet. But 9lbs in 6 days in a new record haha.

Should be able to get a full panel for under $200. Anylabtest.com they have locations everywhere. Since you started the G some levels may be mildly skewed. If that place is not near you- I believe they give prices and options.

Thanks man, I did some research before I bought and asked lots of good members their opinons of who is good. But Its every morning I seem to drop in weight since I started this. Maybe my body wasnt producing enough on its on. Ill get my levels checked for this after I run my 6month course.

Well you don't have to be to old I am 47 and just had my prostate removed this past april for cancer, lucky for me I get a full physical every year or they would not of caught it

Anytime you put anything foreign into your body it would be wise to get your bloodwork checked before and IMMEDIATELY after. It's cheaper than dying or replacing an organ and is covered by your health insurance if you have it (dont recommend using health insurance for post cycle blood though).

No I did not, and still do not, "know what you meant." There is no test that "scans for cancer cells." There is a test in development that does such a thing, but it has not been brought to the market yet.

That being said, you also have a misunderstanding about HGH and cancer. HGH cannot cause cancer, the concern would be with stimulation of tumor growth. Even in the future, when there IS a blood test for cancer cells, it will not detect tumors.

So what exactly DID you mean?

i agree,,,,a cbc can tell you about your heart, kidneys, there are blood tests for cholestorol, but you can't have your blood drawn and they can tell you if you have cancer.

if you have lymphoma or leukemia, the first thing they will do is draw blood, but this is no indication if you have cancer. your white cells might be high, but anything could cause that. and you can have cancer and your cbc could be normal.

the only thing i can think of would be a PET scan and they are $$ and your insurance will not pay for you to get one just to see if you have cancer. you would need a symtom of cancer, then you would need a cheaper CT scan (a doctor would need to order it) and that would have to show you have something suscpicious of cancer before the doc would order a PET scan and hope insurance approves it.

but a PET scan should show any type of cancer.

any way you could sumarize his thoughts? i have read his posts but there is so much technical jargon it gives me a headache (good info though) and it seems dat never really posts protocols or conclusions, he just makes comments on studies, etc.

LIke little bill said, a CBC would be a good indicator. The different white blood cell levels would be off for most cancers I think. I go once a month to a hematologist/oncologist. Oncologists treat cancer patients. They have their own machine right there in the office that I can watch analyze my blood and do a full CBC in minutes. Every month I get one done, because im having hemoglobin/hematocrit issues. The main reason though that they have that machine is for the cancer patients. Chemo really screws the blood up too, but I think the CBC could predict if you MAY have a cancer problem. They would then follow up with other tests if your CBC is all screwed up.
There was a point that he thought I might have bone cancer on top of my heart attack issues and they did a bone marrow test. Thats where they take a bore and push it through your pelvis (the illium) and take a core sample of your bone marrow. its kinds like taking a core sample from a tree! It hurts a bit. The test came back negative thank god. looks like its my heart condition and the HRT that might be raising my HCT/HGB.
