Getting The Most From Creatine by Will Brink

#1 science based performance resource? I think Mr. Brink needs to do some research into Kre Alkalyn.
 
Wouldn't the acids in your stomach help dissolve the creatine fully? I usually just scoop the creatine into my mouth then chase it down with water.
 
hmm

never heard of doing it this way, but I'm pretty sure the creatine will be dissolved pretty quickly once it enters your stomach. personally i just put it in with a protein shake, and guess what? if works just fine.
 
Will Brink knows creatine. I could never tell a difference using Kre-Alkalyn. Monohydrate works just fine, especially when used over a period of time. I used to take creatine for a few weeks and could never tell any difference in my strength. However, I just kept taking it and that's when I truly felt strong and muscles look fuller.
 
I learned that trick back in the early days. I think I read about it in MM2000. LOL! Since then, I never did it any other way.

Not a fan of creatine any more. Got lots of minute injuries. Always dry and brittle. A big freak told me stop the creatine and the injuries would stop occurring. Amd what do ya know, he was right.

I haven't met him but have talked to him over on MD, briefly. I won't get into details cause this thread is about creatine, not Will. But let's just say he wasn't exactly pleasant to converse with....

Have any of yall tried the HCL version? Im a little skeptic to try it but I hear great things.
 
I've known Will for almost 20 years. Good guy. Never had a problem with him.
 
There is a zillion literature pieces for monohydrate. It works. Everyone's creatine phosphate capacity is different. Those with naturally higher capacities will not "feel"/"see" the difference as one that has a naturally low capacity. Doesn't mean it doesn't work.

Also, I don't give a rats ass what creatine does in water. The dynamics change when it reaches the gut. Displaying it's physical changes outside the body in a solution of water is useless. Gut environment != water.
