glucophage digestion

After you swallow a gluco, how long does it take before it starts working. I presume its good to take right after a meal, so the digestion would take place at the same time, but what about with your PWO shake. Should you take it 10min before, or with the shake? Thanks

I know the articles on this board about metformin say take after meals ,but my package insert as well as the Rx indication sites on the board say to take just before meals.Does it really make a difference.....I dunno
