Going for lab tests

I went to my GP. The GP is sending me for bloodwork. He provided me with a generic lab referral form from his office with check boxes. The box for testosterone is checked but is non specific.

What should they be testing for?

Does the time of day that the test is conducted have an effect on the outcome?

If time of day effects the outcome when should I schedule the test(I am required to fast for some of the other tests)?
