Going Hypo post training= sign of anabolism?

It seems that when I am training fairly heavy and eating a high protein diet and low carbs I tend to go hypo at times shortly after my work outs. Is this my body telling me it needs more carbs for growth? Lets discuss.
 
You know i have experienced this a few times, but it wasnt just when i was on a low carb diet. If i have simple sugars like honey pwo, and then dont eat within 30min i start to feel shaky, cold sweats ect.. Now i stick to complex carbs, and i keep white rice around

Same here man!!! I drink waxy mazie 40g PWO, wait 10 mins then drink WPI 30g. Atfer about 30 mins i start coming down and it trips me out a bit lol!!!

I usually do 25g complex carbs like oats in the morining and 40g waxy PWO. No more carbs rest of day (excluding veggies)

Damn man that looks almost exactly like what I do except I use Karbolyn instead of the Waxy, I like it a lot better because it does not clump up and its a lot easier to drink and mix. I do maybe 40grams of carbs in the am per workout from 2 slices of ezekiel bread though.
 
Hypoglycemia is just that...low blood sugar. It doesn't mean your in a state of hyper-anabolism...if it did most diabetics would be pretty muscular
 
Training effects your blood sugar...hence the reason for pre/post slin use.

slin spike is just too strong compared to how much carbs you ingested
 
so if you go hypo after a workout, what is recommended? what would be the best for your body for muscle gain or even just overall health?
 
It's not a sign of anabolism, more like the opposite. Think about how the body counters the hypoglycemia.
 
i cant get cottage cheese where i am currently.... anythig else??? egg white after workout?

milk is availble where i am at in small cartons.. its the boxed milk kind.. taste different

real milk is about 40 min away and i can try to grab some of that but i dont always go there

Can you post the supplement fact from the milk box? Kuwait has one of the best qualty real milk in the world.

You can use whole milk post training also.

i will be able to tell it to you tomorrow. like in 9 hours. i am assuming you want the facts from the whole milk? would i drink whole milk after to reduce hypo?
 

Well I don't see how you arrive at that conclusion from that data. I don't see where it plots glucose a few hours after the feeding. It does say, however, that insulin response was greatest with cottage cheese plus glucose. Maybe I missed something.

Yes is grater with glucose, but it works good with out glucos, give a try next time after your training and you would see that you will not go in to hypo at least for 1 hour+ (eat 16oz low fat)
