Per a post from Pesty4077 that I came across I will start with the basics.

1.) Your age

24

2.) How long have you been training?

On and off for 8 years (had a bad car accident about half way and was down for quite a while)

3.) Do I want a beach body or want to be competitve?

Beach body is the current goal but wouldn't mind competing if it works out that way.

4.) Your current diet

I do not have a strict diet of protein/fat/carb ratios. I try to eat healthy but my portions are probably more than most. I don't like sweets at all but I do like meat and potatoes (maybe too much).

5.) Your current training program

3 day split - Monday (national chest day of course)/arms
Wednesday is my leg day and some lower back work
Friday is shoulders/back

6.) Have you studied the subject?

Subject of exercise and nutrition? Yes
It's one of those "do as I say, not as I do" things\
Subject of AAS? I am reading a lot and cross checking different opinions/usage/cycles.

7.) How it will effect me when I get older?

Exercise/nutrition - As I get older I hope to alleviate health problems
AAS - Unsure of effects since I can not find any studies that prove/disprove the effects as one ages based on length of usage and amount used.

8.) Am I open to critism?

Always. My shit stinks just like everyone else's does.

9.) Am I willing to listen to more experience people?

I would hope so, otherwise I wouldn't be here.

10.) Your current stats and pictures!

Stats:
6' 1"
295 lbs (gained weight after accident)
BF% - dunno exact number. Last I was at the doctor I asked about my weight and height and was told that my "rough" lean body mass is about 220-225. But I am sure compared to you guys, I am what some would refer to as a "lardass". Term bothers me, but I will deal with it for the time being since there is no one to blame except myself.

I carry my weight around my stomach. My legs are muscular and hard as are my arms and shoulders.

Any other welcoming questions that I may have missed?

Welcome, what a pleasant surprize! You are one big guy! Number 1, you need to get your diet in order, your training seems good with plenty of rest. I personally do 1 bodypart a day at 5 day per week, high volume. I think you might want to switch to burn some body fat and yes, you need cardio, IMO 5 days a week. I don't know if you ever did AAS or going too, but read up here, you will learn more in several months, than years on your own. I hope that you are cleared with your doctor, since your accident. So, IMO get some one from this board, who knows about diets and let them help you. I know about nutition, but I rather someone just line evrything out for me. There is some very knowledge guys on this board, who know their shit! Oh, one more thing, think of this like a marathon, than a sprint, this way you will last. Also, you can look great at 40 and beyond, plenty of guys on this board, who do! Consistant work effort always will get rewarded!;)

Thanks pesty. I am definitely not looking for the miracle drug to get where I want to be. I am hoping to lose weight over the winter at a steady pace. And yes I am a big guy. My doctor had me weighted 3 times because she thought I couldn't be more than 250. I PM'd Magnum for some initial help since I have been reading about what a great job he does. I read a lot and am very knowledgeable, but need to focus on the practice of it.

Also yes, I am cleared since the accident. Joints get sore when the weather changes though but you get use to it.

Thinking about the possibility of AAS, but am wanting to learn as much as possible before doing anything to my body.

If you are using Magnum, then you are definitely in good hands! IMO, he will educate you fast. Take some pictures now and then after a period working with Magnum. Stay consistant and train hard!

Welcome, Jakobe. Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to help us help you. BTW, Magnum is one of the best.
