GOOD, SAFE DIURETICS?

Which diuretic would you guys recommend? A buddy of mine who is a retired physician says that when he took juice he also took low doses of a diuretic to help reduce strain on his heart. He told me that the extra water weight can put added stress on my heart that would only hurt me.

He recommends Lasix, but that was also 10+ years ago that he was on gear.

Which diuretic would you guys recommend?

Hctz would be the first line of intervention for reducing blood pressure and edema.. 12.5 mg is a safe daily dose that most patients would start at .. Always consult a dr before deciding to add a diuretic to your daily meds

Like the guys above said, dyazide/hctz. Just bear in mind diuretics can negatively impact insulin sensitivity negatively. Just don't know by how much.

[lang=id]the water you hold is due to sodium retention from excess aldosterone, which in turn is caused by inhibition of the 11-b-hydroxylase enzyme

high test, dbol and a bunch of other AAS cause this

spironolactone/aldactone is an anti-mineralcorticoid diuretic that blocks aldosterone and so eliminates sodium/water that put strain on your heart/kidneys etc while sparing potassium[/lang]

I don't know if there are any safe diuretics if you have a relatively high RBC, which is almost always the case.

Diuretics reduce blood volume and increase hematocrit, making your blood thicker and putting more pressure on the heart.

Blood volume doesn't equal increased blood pressure in a health cardiovascular system.

Everyone needs (nearly) daily cardio.
