Before going to private clinic or forking out money for online labs/ and DIY rx . Who would you go to next?
Endo? Urologist?

GP refuses to do any blood work or even entertain the idea of doing blood work. Says to many risks for TRT and some excercise will solve my problems.

I think you should find a new GP. They have already showed their ignorance, what else are they ignorant about? Not a dr I would want. Even if they aren't willing to take the risk to treat you, they should still be willing to do some bloodwork to see where you are at and send you to specialist to make the final decision.

This alone is alarming as he's not keeping up with research.

I am in the process of finding a new doctor. I have only had one doctor be in the front of medicine. Sad thing was he wasn't a GP and i moved from that area.

like mentioned above try out a urologist, look at their web-site and you can often tell if they a trt friendly

I really can't expect a GP to know everything about how the human body works. That is what specialists are for. And if you read you will see that they don't know it all either. That is why it is called practicing medicine. I am sure they don't go home at the end of the day and start reading every medical journal they can to keep up with all the new info coming out. I know I don't spend my own time reading so I can be better at work.

I agree on not expecting them to know everything.
But when someone is a professional there is level of continuing education that is expected.
Not every job requires this...
But you are on here furthering your education on something that you are passionate about.

My last Dr. I had is the oldest one I have had and he was the most up to date and on the for front of medicine.

I don't expect it from everyone. But wish it was more prevalent.

Urologist most def. a Enid is going to see the shape you are in if you have any size and automatically know what you are there for and dismiss you.. a urologist one that is into men’s health and treats the symptoms and not the number is the best. I was in legit trt by the time I was 35. I ran a bunch of test p for 6 weeks and then stop for another 6 weeks and went and they took my bloods. I was honest and told them I was on for years and years and stopped and haven’t felt good since.. I told them I stopped six months before I saw him... at first cream and I just never used it and then went back and he put me in inj.. I know this is long winded but this is how I did it..

Urologist. Look around and research. I had one who wouldn't Rx and now I have one that will Rx without any problem. Just wants to see blood work every three months.
