grandfather is really sick

my 94 years old grandfather is really sick ... I went to see him today, doesn't react, doesn't eat, all his strength is gone ...

damn it hurts so bad seeing him like that ... he has had hard life ... and he gave an excellent and a lot of honor and value to my family ... my mom told me a lot of story about him ... did the war, been prisonner and so on ....

he is the soul of our family... i am so prooud of him, u can't imagine guys

the doc told us that the "end is close" and that we can't hope to have him longer than the end of this week

all i can say is it sounds like he lived a life worth living. and to leave behind a legacy as you say he has is the highest honor and is what we should all strive to do. glad to hear you can say you are upset about it. that takes strength too.
my grandad had a massive stroke a year ago at 76 and he can't walk, talk or do anything without help. he is a tough motherf'er though and has hung in there. i know his time is coming too. its very tough watching someone go down that long road toward peace, but it sounds like he is doing it courageously as is my grandad.
it is a great thing to remember their stories and stories about them too. so that they never die. i look in the mirror and i look just like my grandad did at my age and know my children will have a piece of him in them too, so keep positive and remember he lives on in you and yours..... sincerely, STEELE

yeah he had a rich life with high and low parts ... but good thing is that even at 94 he still has conscience of everything .. until recently he never forgot our names and had always funny jokes to say

now he is half asleep and breathe hardly ... I don't want him to suffer , he is the nices person on earth

You have to be strong bro, not only for yourself but for your family. I know it hurts, but just be happy that he lived a good strong life and was loved by many. Spend as much time with him as you can and let him know how much you care.

it's exactly that bro, the same thing here ... he has worked hard his whole life ... suffered so much when my grandmother died at 40 years old ... the people of this generation knew what "WORK" meant ... recently we were talking and he was glad to say he has never been unemployed from the age of 16 until his retirement ! he had sometimes had to do a lot of kilometers on a bike under the snow to go to work ... and never complained

it hurts to see the roots of ur family gets fragile yes ...

I know what you are going thru. My grandfather passed on almost exactly a year ago. It especially sucks during the holidays, but no one has control over it. The most important thing that I have found is that one must cherish the moments you had with him and realize this shit happens-it will to all of us, later hopefully rather than sooner. It will be hard but just rely on the rest of your family for support and make sure and tell them you love them. Good luck man.

Mike, your grandfather sounds like a man of integrity, principle and love. People receive what they have sown in this life. I hope when his time comes to pass that it is easy and peaceful. He deserves this much and I believe he will receive that.
