Grass fed beef - mmmmmm

Grass fed beef is always so much better than store bought raised. My family owns multiple ranches and dairies so I admit I am very lucky to have all my meat organic and grass raised. from beef to venison to duck I try to eat all organic. My milk is even raw and that is so much better than pasteurized milk.

well i just had my first experience with free range, grass fed beef. no antibiotics or hormones were used, nor was it fed corn.

this stuff is delicious!!!! i cant believe the difference in texture and taste. its 93/7 but is MUCH leaner than any 95% or 96% i have eaten of 'normal' beef.

its totally worth the extra $1.40 per lb

if your local store carries any, try it!!!

I like it too. Expensive here but it is tasty.

Yeah man, Love the taste of grass-fed grass-finished Bison. It actually tastes somewhat sweet and not gamey at all..

Mail order beef

Been very satisfied ordering from Tallgrass Beef and US Wellness. It's shipped in a styrofoam box. The dry ice is all gone when it arrives, but the meat is still rock solid frozen.

Tallgrass has a $15 service charge, no minimum order and free shipping specials on some items. US Wellness has a $7.50 service charge, $75 minimum order and specials. So, it pays to stock up. US Wellness sells a lot more than just beef.

Also, if you're in the Chicago/Wheaton or St. Louis/Collinsville areas, I also recommend MooGrass Farms. I haven't tried their beef, which they have, but you can get weekly fresh raw milk (cow, goat or sheep), raw butter, raw milk yogurt, etc. There's a yearly $35 co-op membership fee.

I used to eat bison but they seem to be grain finishing buffalo now. Grass fed beef is the way to go.

Organic Meats from Blackwing - Ostrich, Bison, Organic Beef, Organic Chicken and More is a great way to buy your stuff.

Yeah.. Unfortunately some farmers are grain finishing for getting a desired flavor.. Whole foods sells ground buffalo for about $5/lb and when i asked the butcher about grass or grain finished.. He didn't have a clue....

If you live in the NJ/NY area try www.uddermilk.com. A co-op service that delivers to your door for no service charge..

wow you guys are posting a lot of good links to online stores! all i have found locally is the grass fed ground beef, now i can try some steaks from the online stores

had a sirloin from wegmans yest, cant describe it but, it seems to taste more like meat should.....................

anyone know where to buy grass fed in Florida?

when you buy meat from wegmans, those vacuum sealed gold looking packages of meat are from their plant in rochester. they have been frozen and then thawed at destination store. packages that are in regular styrofoam are from the butcher there - they are much fresher than the pre-packaged meats.

this of course doesnt apply to the grass fed beef

What's the cheapest place u have found that will ship organic boneless skinless chick breast. These sites are great but I'm seeing a lot of whole chicken only, which is less than practical for me. The chicken breast I have found is $14-$20 per pound

If anyone is interested in grass fed beef and is near Charlotte, NC then send me a PM if you want to hit the place up and ill give you the details. $4/lb for lean ground beef, $6 a pound for ribeye/strip steaks, and $2 a dozen fresh, free range eggs they gather every morning.
