Gravitational slingshots & Einsteins theory of relativity

Well, yeah its not ideal for sure because it would lead to more inactivity and more falls when youre old. I have a feeling though that since on Mars the gravity is about 1/3, you could probably lose a lot of muscle and still be ok since the gravity is so weak. I would be very concerned though about the heart. Regular aerobic exercise though would keep that within limits. It will be an exciting time when we finally get people on Mars. Lots to be learned.
Having skeletal muscle serves many more purposes than just motoring you around. And without moving them around against resistance you would decrease insulin sensitivity, your lymph system requires physical movement against resistance as it has no pumping system of its own. This would lead to a host of maladies

On Mars youre still moving around and thats going to serve to aid venous return and lymph flow. As far as maintaining strength, you would lose that but what you have left over would be enough for locomotion and whatever else you need to do on Mars. Resistance bands and springs etc would provide resistance for exercise and would be more important than ever. Living in space with zero gravity I dont think would be sustainable for a long period of many years. One idea they have is to come up with a cabin that spins around and creates centripetal force to simulate gravity. You see that in some science fiction movies.

Decent article here on the effect of microgravity on the human body.

Its good that Mars at least has gravity that is about 38% of earth's. That helps matters.

A STRATEGY OF DECEPTION
It would be rather dangerous if the public knew, but thanks anyway.

Explain. I have a similar thought for my reasons, what are yours?
