Great alternative to stimulants pre workout

I do like L-Tyrosine at 2,000 mg's (My sweet spot)

Well, it's not so much the fact I changed my mind, it's rather that the HEAVILY addicted to Kratom in me back then tried to convince himself it was not a drug... you just don't want to admit you're a junkie... simply for it hurts to recognize you might have some weaknesses.

But with hindsight, judging how TOUGH it was to stop after years on anywhere between 30 and 60g (if not more) per day, I can tell you I wish I had never started at all... :cool:

It was my - stupid - mistake (if people can learn from it, good) to have taken my first dose ever of Kratom without researching it enough, treating the stuff airily as if it was no more than a strong coffee.

The second error was when I showed myself unable to restrain my use and keep it low to moderate, just around workouts for example. Slowly but surely I began to use it more and more just to face stressful times and have energy, which quickly turned into a 24/7 habit... for of course you'll always find a good reason to "feel better"... :cool:

Kratom is definitely not something to take lightly... know what to expect when you decide to hop on it. In any cases, if you've got an addictive nature and know you'll be unable to limit your usage to only a few times PER WEEK, best is clearly to never start. :cool:

Thanks for the honest reply. There were several here who said it's not addictive, and I wrote about a friend who said it was the devil, but usually if something really works and works through these pathways (like opiate and gaba) it's bound to be addictive. No free rides unfortunately. And just because something is legal doesn't make it innocuous. Sounds like you beat it though so that's great. :)

I have that personality where I always want to feel better and have less anxiety. I don't feel content with ordinary reality most of the time, so I have to stay on guard. Because getting addicted to something will just lead to major regrets and even more psychological issues.
 
I don't post much, but lurk often.

I'm doing Meadows' Executioner program right now. Wanted to have the best experience so I have implemented pre-workout stuff more than in the past.

Appreciate everyone's feedback on phenibut and kratom.

I've been doing:

2X a week - 1000mg of phenibut with 140mg of caffeine
2X a week - 4g of fast strain kratom with 140mg of caffeine
2X a week - 2 caps of vicaine

My day off is caffeine only. I never do 2 days in a row of the same. I've used phenibut infrequently for about 4 years now. Watched closely for any signs of dependency, but feel like the rotation is working. I haven't had any of the crap "comedown" feeling or lethargy like I did years ago with jack'd and the other stimulants.

Also, as a side note - I've been lifting for nearly 3 decades now; the one thing I have noticed is the regiment listed above has given me the enthusiasm and "love" for lifting and working out that I felt when I was young and new.
