Grip training exercises and devices

What is the best grip training device that will help me with holding onto more weight with deads and shrugs? I was thinking something like this MD Adjustable Gladiator Grip In addition to doing other forearm work.

Are there any other exercises that I can do to strengthen my grip. Using straps has killed my grip, but I dont want my strength to go do right away so I am looking to work my way up to only using straps on my heaviest sets. I only started using straps because there is no chalk allowed in my gym and the bar was always slimy. Years of usings straps on most of my sets has taken its toll.

You don't really need any kind of device. Do static holds after deadlifts. As far as grippers go I personally like the ivanko super gripper. Its adjustable and I think it goes up past 300 lbs. Also farmers walks are good to as well as working with bars that have the fat grips.

The best grip training I've found is simply to ditch the straps on overhand bb/db rows until your grip fails, and then use straps. Doing that once or twice a week should be plenty for most.

I see a lot of guys just put their straps on the moment it's time for deadlifts/any type of row.

Alot of guys that train for strongman just hang for a minute on the pullup bar, when they can do that time they add weight using a dipping belt

Load a bar with 315 and just hold onto it for 30 seconds. When successful increase the weight.

There's many other strongman/deadlifting techniques, but if you're not competing in those, why care about grip strength?

Thanks for the replies all will be taken into consideration. I don't compete or anything, but feel that if I had a stronger grip I would be able to do a little bit more weight because I feel that my grip gives out before my muscles do and thats one of the limiting factors from increasing my poundages.
