What is everyone's go to for gut health? Meals keep getting bigger and looking for any help I can to help foods digest.

Currently using:
Bragg's vinegar
Lemon juice
Glutamine
Psyllium husk
Digestive enzymes
Extra water

Thought about aloe vera juice, but not sure how much to use.

I got a great one for you, one that Chris Tuttle claims solves gi issues for 90% of his clients that try it.

Simply drink a kombucha every night before bed. Also, eating I think it was 15g (not sure on amount) of sauerkraut twice a day helps, as does Greek yogurt.

Want you want is natural pre or probiotics, so the things I listed contain those. According to GI experts like Tuttle, this is the way.

Also, rather than trying to eat like 150-200g of carbs from rice at once (if you’re doing that) is way harder on digestion than say 80g carbs from rice, 30g from sourdough, and 40g from dried fruit or orange juice.

The thing with sugars is they help expand the gut naturally even when already full, so sipping some oj mid meal will make it easier to finish pounding the meal.

Heres what I’d do if I were your coach. I’d add in a nightly kombucha and add 15g sauerkraut to 2 meals per day and see how that goes over the next week.

By the way, synergy or synergize (I forget which is the name) is a good kombucha brand, as is Buddha’s brew

Interesting point/method about the multiple carb sources. I see lots of guys doing that when it is 100g+ of carbs per meal and kinda why I started the how much rice you can eat thread. This combined with reducing my protein intake some might be worth a try. I dont have any issues but id love to have things process smoother just for comfort/appetite even let alone absorption.

To be fair though I ran:
Warm lemon water
Glutamine
ACV
Fiber
Greens
Kimchi

I noticed no difference whether individual ingredients or blends like Project AD's Goodmornin'. I have wondered if GI supps now are as overhyped as pre workouts.

According to the top coaches I get my education from who have the experience of many clients, all the supps aside from digestive enzymes are very hit and miss and seen to miss much more often than they hit.

Kombucha seems to be the GOAT universally

I was not expecting you to say that. I am surprised considering everyone pushes that morning GI cocktail.

I've changed my gut health for the better...0 bandaids (supplements)

Same calories
Decreased protein from 300 to 200
Way less food volume
Fruit and veggies as main carb source..a variety. This week I had squash, carrots, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, cherries, blackberry, raspberries, strawberry, apple, banana, pears
Other carb sources oat and sourdough
More dense food choices, no volume eating. I don’t eat to feel full, but satisfied now
Pickles
Lots of fish..shrimp salmon sardines
Avocado, Greek yogurt great for gut
If it agitated my gut, I dont eat it
Decreased gum usage (I'm a gum addict)
40g fiber minimum ed

I'm no longer constipated, same bodyfat but 0 gut distensision/bloating so I look way leaner all day every day. No bloating gas. Shit 2-3 times a day healthy shits lol

Just what I did, best diet changed I've ever made. Basically, made gut health priority #1.

Netflix has a great special on gut health and just how important it is. Basically processed food is the devil, variety of fruits and veggies is key.

Avoiding processed foods, and foods that i can't read all the ingredients and know what they are, keeping things pretty natural, avoiding sugar/substitutes, fiber soluble and insoluble, fermented food like kimchi/sauerkraut. A variety of food not just a few of the same things. Has worked for me for many years.

Doesn't it have to be a certain kind of Sauerkraut?

Yes. Ditto with Kimchi.

“Raw” or “fermented” only as these have the beneficial live organisms we need for our gut.

Should be sold in refrigerated section, reference being raw or fermented on the package and should NEVER say “pasteurized”.

I can’t stand both but eat them daily.

Kefir is good stuff as well.

Gut health is very broad term but you kinda make it sound like you want to digest large amounts of food easier. The reality is, your gut health is determined by your gut biome, what bacteria live there. The type of bacteria in your gut is determined by what you feed them... WHAT YOU EAT! A narrow diet of chicken and rice supports a very narrow range of bacteria, getting this?

To nurture a good biome, eat a wide range of colorful foods. To kill off bad bacteria, stop eating the crap causing it and use biocidin (OTC). 4 drops a day totally changed my biome, verified by before and after stool sample testing. I have the 14 page reports if anyone really wants to see

I think also you have to eat it cold...heat it up lose some benefits

One of the single best overall holistic health additions is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to improving gut health and digestion to add synergy with the original stack: Green Vibrance by Vibrant Health.

Honestly improves so many areas and worth every penny.

Fiber supplements, Greek yogurt and a Mediterranean type diet - really try to get rid of anything processed foods

outside of diet:

low stress
low stimulant use
relaxing and not stressing around meals
taking some deep breaths before the meal
some light stretches
taking your time to eat and chew properly
cardio and activity around meals

Cloves can be used to clear out bacteria (though I believe it gets the good and the bad) and then get good bacteria from Greek yogurt , kefir , and/or sauerkraut , fermented pickles (refrigerated)

Eat a good variety of whole foods. Add in naturally fermented foods if you like, but be careful as they can be detrimental for some.

I'm wary of the term "guy health" these days. It gets thrown around a lot like "inflammation". These are very broad terms, loosely defined and hard to test accurately for.

Even if tested how to interpret those results and what actions to take is still very much lacking in comprehensive medical understanding.
