Prebiotics
Probiotics
Digestive enzymes
Glutamine
Powered greens for micronutrients

Stick to low inflammatory foods and foods you know your body can process

Everything posted so far in this thread are pretty useful tips.

Emphasis on adding a diverse selection of veggies to your meals. The phytonutrients within them not only are often antioxidants, but they also feed the healthy bacteria in your gut which aids and digestion, and reduce “leaky gut” symptoms which further increases things like nutrient absorption so you get more out of your food.

Your body chemically and mechanically digests your food and it all starts in your mouth… actually chewing your food well is one of the first recommendations clinically.

There was a prominent coach years ago that told his clients to “chew the abc’s” before swallowing and they miraculously never had digestive problems.

If it’s simply a volume issue… introduce liquids. Fruit juices, shakes, heck blend your chicken with bone broth and warm tomato sauce into soup. All about how bad you want it in the end lol.

outside of diet:

low stress
low stimulant use
relaxing and not stressing around meals
taking some deep breaths before the meal
some light stretches
taking your time to eat and chew properly
cardio and activity around meals
Yes 100%, stress is so overlooked. Mostly because stressed people rarely see it or acknowledge their own stress level. Being stressed, near a state of fight or flight causes digestion to grind to a halt and natural hormone production plummets

Man, I popped into Target last week and bought 2 big jugs (ayyy) of Kombucha, and a jar of Kimchi. Tried them both, and the next day - my wife and kids basically quarantined me into a section of the house. They said I was in "fart jail".

It was raunchy.

What's with bone broth...they say it's great...I drink a little and my stomach feels horrible and bloated. I heat it..are you supposed to drink it cold?

I drink it luke warm. It's basically the same as collagen through my understanding

What is everyone's go to for gut health? Meals keep getting bigger and looking for any help I can to help foods digest.

Currently using:
Bragg's vinegar
Lemon juice
Glutamine
Psyllium husk
Digestive enzymes
Extra water

Thought about aloe vera juice, but not sure how much to use.
“Cycle support” on Amazon, it’s got almost everything you could want/need

Pre and probiotics, fiber supplement, and high fiber diet for me. Issues with depression/anxiety so I try and keep my gut as healthy as possible. Looking into some other ways I have seen listed.

Best way to figure out IF u need anything is to run a sibo test and a gi mapping test… then go from there… if u just start taking stuff to take it for “GuT hEaLtH” unless otherwise known… do you really need anyof it?

I’ve never heard of a sibo test? Hahe you ever done a methylation test?

Prunes have helped me a lot. I eat 1-2 every morning

Most things you take for gut health such as probiotics, glutamine, digestive enzymes, etc certainly can’t hurt even if you think you don’t need them.

Eat a good variety of whole foods. Add in naturally fermented foods if you like, but be careful as they can be detrimental for some.

I'm wary of the term "guy health" these days. It gets thrown around a lot like "inflammation". These are very broad terms, loosely defined and hard to test accurately for.

Even if tested how to interpret those results and what actions to take is still very much lacking in comprehensive medical understanding.
My thoughts EXACTLY 💯 ^^^

Never done a methylation test but sibo (small intestine bacteria overgrowth) test can test for methane and another form…to see if u got a form of sibo
Methylation test is to see what your body doesn’t break down and what you’re deficient in so you can supplement exactly what you need instead of doing a bs daily vitamin. I’ll look up that sibo test for sure, I appreciate it

Is been a year i cut all powders and switched only to foods that agree with ME

Feeling the best i ever felt and im only taking 3-4 supps instead 50 i used to take

Zinc L-Carnosine
Mastic Gum
VSL#3/Visbiome type probiotic
Saccharomyces Boulardii
Glutamine
Glycine and or Hydrolyzed Collagen
Aloe Vera
Betaine Hcl

Bone broth

Apples seem to really help my stomach. I don't know why, I don't get the same effect from bananas.
