gyms near fort Lauderdale

I will be moving to fort lauderdale in a month anyone in the know sown there point me in the direction of a good gym. I know LA Fitness and I hate those gyms worked for them as a personal trainer they are theives. willing to travel pompano and such.but not too far 10 miles or so.

There are a few 24 Hour Fitness gyms down there that are supposedly pretty good. I think Shaq owned them, not sure about now though as I moved out of that area about 6 years ago.
Still a few Golds locations though I believe.

Find a mom n pop place if you can... I live in Miami Beach & LA Fitness has bought damn near everything...it sucks.
