so i just went to a surgeon and he told me that they leave a little tissue... my question is this true???????

The guy that did mine about a year ago said same thing if they dont leave just a little bit your nipplr will concave into itsself but with me have done a few corses seince then and no tenderness at all.

This is not entirely true. It depends on the surgeon. Mine does FULL glandular removal and does some fancy shit with sutures so as to not leave a concave nipple. I would never get this done by a general practitioner.

In my opinion

Glandular removal is the way to go

I had mine done a while back, and they told me the same thing.... removing the whole gland would cause a concave nipple. I wanted them to remove the whole thing, but they wouldn't. Kaiser was paying for it, so I had no say. A tiny hard lump returned within weeks to both sides, without being on any hormones.

It's not bad, but I'd still like the entire gland removed. I have heard some surgeons will place a tiny implant beneath the nipple to keep it from going concave.

i just had mine removed 10 weeks ago. my surgeon (plastic) left a small portion of the gland to prevent the concave nipple scenario. i still have swelling and internal scarring, so i can't quite see the final result, but there is already a major improvement.

the poster who felt the tiny lumps 2 weeks after removal most likely felt the scar tissue where the sutures were beneath the skin.

some surgeons will do a complete glandular excision and put a little bit of fat behind the nipple to prevent the concave nipple look.

either way, make sure you go to a plastic surgeon, one who has experience removing gyno from bbers... the idea is for your chest to look GOOD when they get done lol
