Halfstack's Road to Success!

This weekend was great. I was pretty depleted, so my refeed was a little longer than usual.

I switched up my workout days, so today I did shoulders and tomorrow I will do legs. Today felt great. I had more energy thanks to the refeed. I did not sleep well last night, so I woke up at 4am ready to start the day. Now I'm exhausted.

refeeds do the body so much good! thats awesome. but no matter what, there's no way i would be up at 4am ready to start the day lol. hope you had a great Easter! :)

Do you do refeeds with your IFs?
 
Today I felt so weak during my workout. I got through everything, but that's just it, I got through it. I pushed it as heavy as I could, but I just felt absolutely exhausted. By the time I got home, I lost all my water weight from the refeed plus some, so that was great! My body doesn't usually do that, so hopefully things just get better and better.

MY leg workout consisted of sumo squats. Love them!

Today was so stressful. I had a review at work and it was just such a misunderstanding. I was told I would get a review with a salary increase and all this hype was built up over it. But there was no increase. It was such a let down. My boss's motivating techniques absolutely suck. I'm finding that there are quite a few small business owners who don't understand their employees are their business, so they should be treated very well. They don't need to kiss their bootays, but definitely not discourage them. Oh well! Move on because this only means there's something better whether it's with this company or not.

My fiancee is wonderful. He put a bunch of movies on my iTouch, so I don't get bored during cardio. I have been watching those Mystery Science Theater movies. They are hilarious! I was telling my fiancé yesterday that I'll start laughing and then get a cramp. It's very much worth it though!

Shoulders are popping, and abs are getting better and better. I will say, and I know this is normal, but after my refeed, my muscles are pumped! Love it. Then throughout the week as I get more and more depleted, they don't look as big, but that refeed day, WHOA!

I do refeeds once a week sometimes. If I do, usually one day on the weekend..I just stuff my face with everything in sight lol. When will you be uploading pics?!?!??!! :)

I will be posting soon. Maybe this week! I understand stuffing my face with everything in sight. But I just can't anymore. I feel so gross the next day. Some people can completely do it. I am not one of those people.
 
Today was cardio day. I have been doing the elliptical, and it has been absolutely kicking my ass. It overlooks the swimming pool, so I watch the swimmers swim the whole time. It's kind of funny but entertaining. I've never seen someone swim with little footie socks on; definitely good people watching.

I will need to write in the mornings. By the time I am done with work, I am exhausted.

oh i feel like a digusting bloated fat fluffy pig lol, but all that food tastes sooooo good at the time i'm eating haha. but it's no biggie, i do a little longer fast and cut out my carbs completely for about 2 days and i'm back right where i was before i ate everything in sight :D

Yep that's right! Get that cardio up and sweat it out. And you're telling me, the food tastes so good!

I've found that it is super important for me to make sure I'm in the right mindset when I have my refeeds. I have to be in the mindset that it is for a reason and I'm not going off my diet. It's a part of my diet and prep. If I don't do this, it could be bad news. Haha!
 
I just finished my chest workout. This week I have been feeling tired, and I've been getting a headache just about everyday. Luckily today was much better. My lifting was good today, but like I said this week I have been feeling like the weights are in charge rather than me. Gotta get more energy in in the morning.

I do my lifting and cardio right when I wake up fasted. I have been toying with the idea of eating before going, but I really don't prefer to do this. I'm just used to this. Today was better since I brought a couple of sugar free candies with me. Like I said yesterday, that elliptical is killer. I feel like I'm barely moving on it, but in reality I'm exhausted on it.

Saw some striations in my shoulders today! That was exciting.

Chest today consisted of bench press, incline dumb bell press, incline flys, and then I did calves on the Smith machine. I'm working on incorporating at least one or two shoulder exercises in each lifting day and of course abs.

I am now in search of a new chair. I think this may be one reason why I have been getting headaches. I work from home, and I'm at my computer all day. My desk is taller and my chair is crap. It's so cute but so not functional. I sink into the chair because there is no support. I actually have been using books on top of the chair to get my work done. They act like a booster seat. It's so sad. I'm not tall by any means, 5 ft 2 in. but a booster seat, really? I'm blaming it all on the chair.

After reading over some of my posts, this is just a stream of consciousness. I really write whatever comes to mind.

Oh girl there is absolutely no way I could do a productive weight workout fasted! I usually eat a pretty good size meal before I go or I get hungry before my cardio. I workout in the evenings though. Do you take a pre-workout supp?

Nope, no pre-workout supps. I don't usually take anything. I just go and lift my heart out. But like I said, I'm used to it, so it's not usually a big deal. I actually feel better in the mornings after I do it fasted than when I lift after a meal. But that's a total personal thing.

The weight room would probably be more entertaining. I can't really see people's facial expressions which is a bummer. Haha! That's terrible.

Most of the people in there have pretty nice physiques. It would be interesting to swim for cardio. I guess I would need to wear a heart rate monitor to track it.
 
Today was biceps and triceps day! It was phenomenal! I took a high energy fat burner before going, and I cannot tell you the energy I had. It was so refreshing compared to yesterday.

Muscles were popping and veins coming out. Very motivating!

Does anyone know any spray tanners, makeup artists, and hair people going to the Duel of Champions on June 9th in Omaha, NE?
 
I didn't post this last weekend or yesterday. I have been super busy with work. This last weekend was great! I worked as an assistant at a fashion show and in regards to contest prep, I dropped weight. That was great! My cheat meal was delicious. I had a strawberry malt, which took me some time to get used to. Not a big malt fan I guess. But my chicken tenders were yummy!

Yesterday was shoulders and back. Shoulders are getting stronger. I just want this to continue. And I have a back vein! I stare at it in the mirror. It's so cool I can't not stare at it.

Today was leg day, and man oh man I feel tired. Cardio went up this week, so even more tired today. Looking forward to relaxing this afternoon!
 
Today was a cardio day! It felt good. I find I do a lot of thinking during cardio. It's nice to have that time, and it seems my cardio time/the time I get to think only increases. Haha!

I think I have spring fever. I have such little motivation to do my job, in regards to my profession not training. I just want to be outside. The weather is very nice right now!

I start missing doing work outside this time of year too! Are you stuck in an office most of the day?
It kills me when it's sunny and 75 degrees and I'm inside at a freaking computer!
