Hamstrings help

JM trained as a powerlifter at the worlds strongest gym for 10 years..... You cant pull that out of context, he started doing that as a 40+ year old master IFBB.

I'm pretty sure he's been a bodybuilder since he was 16, no?

Anyway, on the topic of JM and ham curls I liked doing something he recommended to help feel hams in compound movements and warm up the knees.

Do leg curls starting low weight and work your way up until you cant hit 15 reps. Each rep pause at the top, squeeze and then take three seconds to lower the weight. Repeat.

Does being a Bb'er mean you cant train like a powerlifter? IIRC he came to Westside Barbell (all hail king Louie) in 96 till 2004 than started training at EliteFTS until he got his pro card. Go watch old videos of his training, looked nothing like now, he also just did an extensive peice on his trainning at EliteFTS/WBB on dave tates podcast.

i think its important to do both types of movements since hams do contract in differnet ways, some sort of curl and some sort of other.

others are
stiff leg dl
sumo leg press
good morning

leg curls to warm up or finish

leg curls rest paused in the rotation

need to be careful with rack dl's as they can hit hams hard too. i like rack dl's for back and try to keep hams out of that but if you do hard unavoidable.

stiff legs very wide grip, very slow down pause/stretch up hard, bdells good too.

stretching also super important!

GHR-works the ham from both insertions.

Good mornings.

Reverse Hypers

High and wide leg press tear up the tie in area of your ass and hams. I love them. Lower nice abs slow, and embrace that stretch pain lol
