Me too ......that is how I met Dante over 10 years ago ......Good honest info ......more private than the net ........I remember the first time Dante called my house after I had just finished training with jason Muller ......it was like I had recieved a call from God himself .......he truely wanted to help people .What a great guy .......we used to talk hours ..... my girl the time used to get mad and call him my secret lover .....lol........I hate what the net has done to him ......it has made him learly of everyone and he holds back most of his info and probally has given up coming up with even better methods ......And after what he and I went through together and now all of the BS attacks on him I don't blame him .....It is just very sad because the guy really loved the challenge of putting on muscle on people ......He only had good intentions and the sport has betrayed him . I love the man and he has overcome a ton of adversity and become quite successful . I am proud of him as well as honored to call him a friend ........ A Man amongst men ..........Thanks for eveything Dante ..........Hardcore forever !!!

I second the Feelings of Iabadman as well, he's been a great help to me bodybuilding wise, and moreso in a personal effect, helping me with all my problems and quirks with great advice, and only yelling at me every so often. As Iabadman said, a True Man amongst men. Thanks for everything Dante.

Grateful for the net

Though I only know Dante through the net, his advice and training philosophy has helped me put on mucho pounds!! DC forever!

i had a subscription to that and it was awesome. i liked how there used to sources listed occasionally but there were coded, lol. thats been like 6-7 years ago maybe more.

I always got that knowledge 2nd hand but it worked for me...I have heard dantes name mentioned with many of the top respected guys around and he never sold out like many guys and girls have done...he is a stand up guy in a lay down world....

I agree, i was just in touch w DC last week for the first time in like 10 yrs, used to love Hardcore Muscle, and just told him he should do it again...Hopefully he will...
I remember buying case's of world wide protein, and him saying he was taking in 500gms of protien a day an growin like crazy, so I upped my protein and grew more...He always made time for people and always offered advice...
then shit hit the fan, can't blame him for being cautious....but it would be nice to see more from him...

I really appreciate the comments (J I was just going to email you).....but to be honest as hard as I worked on hardcore muscle and was proud of it, Im very supersticious and that mag really seemed to bring me bad luck. It was like a black cat in paper form. Im just one of those guys that cant go back to something like that when an actual subscriber/reader of my magazine that I befreinded turned Iama's and my lives (at that time) into dirt.
You know what was fun though? Everyone I interviewed especially on the amateur scene (and I interviewed virtually all of Phils competition for the Nats and USA) at that time would ask me the same questions? "Hey dante what the hell does Phil Hernon do? Hows he train? Hows he eat?" and it was kind of fun for me to say "I really cant divulge that info as its Phils business just like I wouldnt divulge yours".....I did tell them your secret of staying hydrated phil--"Piss in a measuring cup and measure the amount of urine and then using the exact same measuring cup immediately fill it up with water and down it"--LOL
