Has any BB actually been successful ONLY doing low protein/vegan diet

I know there are anecdotes of people SWITCHING to vegan / lower protein (100g or less) a day and staying big/strong (like Clarence Kennedy) but i have seen almost no one actually build strength / size doing it.

maybe we really need more than the 1.6 g/kg most "experts" recommend, and specific types of protein that are more easily bioavailable (as plant proteins seem to be less efficiently used).

Just because one's diet is vegan, it does not mean that they are eating less than 100g of protein. Especially with vegan protein shakes these days, it is very easy to get in 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight, or even more if you feel the need to.
