Has anyone used Diclofenac orally for joint pain?

I've used topical from Voltaren gel but it as suggested I try it for joint pain rather than the typical Aleve??
I didn't even realize that there waz an oral form but I have source for it so before I make an order I was wondering how it compares in effectiveness , toxicity and if it years up your stomach like high dose to prolong drugs like Aleve and Motrin

I haven't used it for joint pain, but inflammatory pain. More specifically, I had a huge bone spur in my elbow that I broke off(actually ended up doing it to the other elbow down the road as well). It worked incredible. I could not even think about working out without it, and with it I could go about 80% without any pain at all. It is really hard on the kidneys though.

By the way, the topical has never done shit for me.

I have to use it often and it's effective but it begins to irritate my stomach after a week or so of use.

Here diclofenac is the first in line treatment for joint inflammation. Usually it's 3 x 50mg for a couple of weeks and then once daily for maintenance if needed. Supposedly different generics cause different levels of stomach discomfort. Of course the pharmacists can't explain why. I don't recall which brands are supposed to be the "good ones" though. Is it imaginary or placebo? I don't know but I've heard it many times.

I can't use it because it's bad for the heart and kidneys. Docs orders.

Its commonly prescribed in the states. I think 150mg is a upper level daily dose. I have used the topical as well and to my surprise it fucks me up. I didn't know what was making me feel like hell but apparently NSAIDs can make me dizzy at certain doses and that Voltaren gel consistently makes me feel like I want to pass the fuck out and die. I would not believe it if someone told me but it is what it is.

If you just have to take it, use the Potassium salt rather than diclofenac sodium.
