Has anyone used German Volume Training?

I've been checking out Charles Poliquin's website and digging up other info on the 10 sets of 10 method. Everything I've read claims it's excellent for hypertrophy, but the guys I've seen showing how to do the routine on youtube are kinda scrawny! However it still intrigues me, have any of you used it? What were your results?

Did the volume German training & was over trained & tired frequently.
Didn't grow.

I used it for a bout a year and got great results,i still go back and use it now and then.But i love hitting one exercise for a bodypart.

GVT is excellent. Use it as part of an accumulation phase.

It didn't work for me. By the third week I was burnt out and losing strength. Going by Poliquins older writings, I'm a "wood" type and respond poorly to GVT.

I did GVT and it worked great for me. Added a lot of mass. When I was researching it though it seemed like all the reviews were hit or miss.

I think most of us who've been in the iron game at least 20 years have given this a run. I did it in the early 90's myself one summer I was in college. I don't remember the year but it was when creatine and HMB had just hit the mainstream [94/95?] Anyway I thought I got good results. I had been doing Yates style HIT so the volume change might have been in order. After the summer I went back to Yates HIT and I made even more progress. Now I haven't done it since but I'd say for a fixed duration it was worthwhile. Don't think its a standalone full time solution though

FST-7?

Maybe try throwing a couple of FST-7 sets into your regular workout. I train basically DC-style but I do an FST-7 set for one or two lagging body parts. Feels great for me.
