Have Cancer, Taking Chemo, Weight Gainer?

I realize this is a board typically for discussion pertaining to body building however I know this community's collective knowledge is greater than a thousand oncologists on the topic of supplementation.

My brother has bone cancer and is going through some hard core chemo for bone cancer. He has lost 10 lbs in the past 8 days. If I can't get him to stop losing weight they will put in a feeding tube. We can't get him to drink the Ensure. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry to hear that. How old is he first of all? If you can't get him to drink something as simple as ensure is he a kid?

Thanks for the question. My brother is 59. 185 lbs now. Was 205 a few months ago. He is going to have stem-cell harvest procedure after he finishes chemo. Then he rest, then another round of chemo and then they reintroduce stem-cells, if hes still alive.

Chemo is poison to the body. Look up baking soda and cancer on google an then go to pubmed.gov an look up ganoderma lucidium. The ganoderma is good but when ordering be careful because there's a mlm company called organo gold that's basically a scam. Plenty of articles on pubmed tho with ganoderma being used to treat cancer. Look at the pills an obviously dosing by body weight.

Weight gain will be hard on him on chemo. It'll be all about calories an what he can keep down.

chemo treatment there is gona b a weight loss and loss of appitite, my father and sis been there. try everything. dr. should have scripts aval. to him. if none satisfy i would have him try canabis it keeps naus. down and increases appitite. It is a huge help to some people and in some states they recongnise it and it is avalible.
