Hy guys, in the beggining of my carer i thought i was invincible, after 10 years i could challenge anyone to move weight and train intense with me wiithout problem.
With the years and the experience you start learning to train smarter and safer, but i wish to had a trainer that cared about my future, we were just thinking in the present.
Now i advise my joung guys to train smart and control the weights, i dont mean i wasnt controling the weights but i mean like try to scan the whole movement when performing each rep, use knee wraps and elbows wraps when you go heavy.
My guy Omar is just 26 years old and he injured his leg, hi called me to tell me he was training hard, explosive but he didnt fallow my instructions.
It wasnt a bad injury but he learned after the problem happen.
I always say "Why do you want this happen to you if it already happen to me???" They say: "yeah write...i'll do it" and when you turn around they are meking the same mistake.
Mike metzer used to say and it is one of his heavy duty principles " Motivation is your worst enemy"
I just want to share my experience and what Victor Munoz tells me every time "Keep it safe and healthy Heinz...We want to stay longer in our sport"
