So much this, ive personally seen several people have health scares like heart issues etc and then they panic and drop everything and their health just turns to absolute shit all around, stay on TRT and get shit checked thoroughly and combat the issue at hand.To have test in normal range is ALWAYS healthier than being tanked. For the regular population low T and higher E (fat out of shape men) have a higher risk of heart disease.
That damn vaccine!!!!I have not had a heart attack, but I went into a-fib after getting the covid vaccine. During my a-fib recovery phase (cardioversions, ablation, reduced EF), I was on TRT at 150mg/wk the entire time, and the doc did not have an issue with it continuing.
Good to see you hopefully still doing wellKeeping yourself in a healthy range for most things just makes sense IMO. I keep my total t around 700-800 and feel great. And yes I have had a heart attack
Metoprolol I started in my late 20’s. Despite being that young it sapped me of all my energy. This was only at 25mg a day. It was crazy! My girlfriend’s dad is prescribed 100mg and I wonder how he even makes it through his day, lol.I had my heart attack in April 2024 then a quadruple bypass. I never stopped my TRT and the CC main campus knew this. They stated my TRT or prior usage was NOT the cause but also never told me to continue or to stop. There only goal was to keep me alive and my surgeon told my wife my heart is good and to continue life just as before.
However during my first visits to my GP and Cardiologist they immediately told me to stop TRT and admitted I would tank, I would feel awful, but to learn to deal with it. Based on my conversations with main campus, and overall it just didn't make sense to stop, so I continued. I had some very interesting conversations with younger staff at main regarding cholesterol, sodium intake, Testosterone, etc. They had a much different take than my GP and Cardiologist.
So even on TRT post bypass I was feeling awful due to the Metoprolol but was able to add back muscle very quickly. That stuff is brutal and destroyed sleep and had me useless by afternoons. I weened myself off per agreement with my Cardiologist, went back to training hard, added in hard cardio and feel very well now.
Stopping TRT after a heart attack is really playing with fire. You don’t want hypogonadism after suffering a heart attack. Best of luck to you and I wish you well.

It’s been beaten to death on here, but second generation beta blockers have been a godsend for me.
Hypogonadism should be a no-go for medical reasons. People who are hypogonadal are much more susceptible to just about every major health event
I don’t think that is high enough personally for most people. My level was pretty low when I tried that a few years ago. I really think 20mg is the sweet spot for most people who inject daily.Agreed. I'd be going down to 10mg/ED protocol.
