Well I'm home tonight after entry in the Emergency room this past Sunday. I felt like crap all day Saturday but thought nothing of it. Sunday was a whole different story, I woke up and felt like I was having a panic attack, chest was tight and I felt like I was going to loose control. I drove myself to the local medical station.. after several minutes they prompted me to get to the ER ASAP. Drove myself to the ER and within minutes they wheeled me in and hooked to a EKG Machine, they did not like what they saw they hooked up the patches to the crash cart and had me chewing baby apsrin. They told me to call my loved ones, at this point I had no idea what was going on, but just to tell them I'm on the verge of having a heart attack. After things settled down they wheeled me upstairs where they ran blood and did a ultra sound of my heart. They told me I had fluid around my heart and my heart wall looked larger than normal for a 30yr old. Over the next days they continued their tests with 2 MRI's to get a closer look. In the end they feel the fluid around my heart was caused from a infection but the enlargement has nothing to do with this. Doctor told me a story about how the Olympic rowing team all have enlarged hearts, but one thing they don't have is Enlarged Valves. I told them everything I used in the past, one doctor told me It could be a flood infection if I use dirty needles, I told him my shots are intermuscular not sure how that would cause a blood infection. Right now they have me on 800mg IBUPROFIN every 8 hours to bring down the retention around the heart. I'm pretty scared right now because I'm confused. Has anyone had similar experience. They did see no damage to the heart yet they said it does not look happy. I was at the hopsital 4 weeks ago due to infectious bacteria, and they think maybe it never cleared completely and went to my heart. I have another appoint setup for a second opinion. I have always figured my heart would be a little enlarged due to my training but enlarged valve?
